The Forgotten Kindness!

Someone in the audience *coughs loudly* (unintensional) - in a meeting room of approximately 20 people. Almost everybody feels disturbed about it but no one cares to get up and help. After around 5-10 minutes, Shreya turned around to see - a guy, in his early 20's, whom she's not seen before in office. She goes near him, tries to console him by rubbing his back and said "we'll go outside" offering him some water from her water bottle and waits for him to feel comfortable. She calms him down.

Nobody else from the meeting room seem to be bothered with this. After this incident they both went inside and joined the meeting. After few days Shreya encounters this guy again exchanging a warm smile with him. The guy asks her to wait for a minute and meanwhile takes out a chocolate from his pocket and offered it to Shreya, saying, in a demanding voice "I was looking for you all these days, thank God I finally found you, this is for you". Obviously Shreya politely declined the offer to which the guy replied "Don't take me wrong, but that day you saved my life, I had breathlessness and terrible coughing. Nobody else but you came forward to help. I'm deeply humbled by your kind gesture. People these days lack two things dear, kindess and empathy. It's so good to meet a soul like you" Shreya couldn't feel more contented than this, helping a stranger in need.

She was indeed a good Samaritan. How often do we take a step forward to help someone in need?
