The Encounter- Short Story

It was a Monday morning, clear and crystal. The sun peered through the clouds and was shining brightly like a radiant light. Down at the co-ordinates 17.4273° N, 78.3319° E piled up a huge crowd anxious to start a new life.

Amidst the crowd tensed and sweat dripping was the face of a lad frustrated of life that is ahead, unknown of his future making plans to the next move. Lost is his own thoughts thinking was he at the right point both geographically and also in his career.

It was then which felt like a hot sunny day earlier suddenly turned out to be a cool breezy evening in winter. The air became light and thin. The trees were shedding flowers. The sun lost its anger. It was then he saw a face, a face that changed his thinking, a face that changed his mood, a face that changed his destiny, a face that changed his life.

It was at that point he understood what his future was going to be. He realized he was at the right point geographically (Q city). He realized Hyderabad was no longer the city of nawabs, it would be his city of love, rather their city of love. He made a note of the date 17th august 2015, a memorable day of his life. A milestone in his life.

He decided she was his future.
