The Dead Body At The Beach

Yes, isn't the title scary and creepy? This story is about me travelling to one of the beaches in India.

I was on a holiday to visit a friend. We decided to visit the nearby beach. It was a pleasant day, we headed for it.

After reaching out to the beach, we captured few videos and photos of us playing in water so that these moments stay with us forever.

After a while, we sat at the beach shore, discussing our lives. We actually came to a talk where my friend was sharing with me her school experience, where she and her friends planned of committing suicide.

They didn't even know what that meant but still, they had thought about it. But, she said she was the one to cancel the plan as she was not in a good to do that. That sounded funny but it left an important message. Many people think that suicide is easy. Many others don't even know what it is.

The discussion continued, I was curious to know if dead bodies do actually float and come over to the shore like in movies. She said it doesn't happen in reality.

The discussion ended there and she asked me if we can go back home. I don't know what was calling me, I asked her if we can go and play for one more time in the water. She agreed to my request and as we went inside to play with water. I saw a man who looked like if he was swimming. I told her that it looks to me like a dead body, but she said that the man was swimming.

The person was not taking his head of from water even for a while, seeing this she told me that it must be a dead body.

The waves were throwing the dead body out of the water. After few waves, the dead body actually came to the shore floating and his eyes were popped out. It looked like he had been inside for a long time.

We called the police and she spoke to them requesting to send the ambulance.

A few minutes later, police came and along with them came their family members.

After listening to the talks, we found that the man was missing since yesterday. They tried searching the man in the water but could not find anything.

We just left the beach there and then. After reaching home, I kept thinking about this incident. I was worried about what could have happened with him? Why didn't anyone see him drowning?

We didn't wait to know if it was an accident or something else at the beach. The only thing we understood that day was life is a precious gift of God. No matter what we are, we have to survive. Death is not the end. What worst could happen in life? Nothing ever worse than this.

We also discussed doing suicide is a foolish thing ever. A person who does have no idea what would happen behind. No idea of how his family could take up their loss.

So, this was an important lesson we had learned and I am writing this experience to share the lesson.

After a while, we were looking at the photos and the videos we captured and to our shock, the dead body had been there for an hour and no one ever noticed it. The dead body was clearly visible in one of the videos we captured when we were first playing with water an hour ago of finding it.

So, it was a scary experience with a big message of life!!
