The Black Hole
The Black Hole
‘Goodbye, Katie!’ Andrew said as he left for work. It was Sunday and he had to do his overtime. Soon after, he reached the office. He perceived Patrick’s needy eyes full of innocence but unfortunately had nothing to feed him. Wilson then entered his workplace, marked his attendance through the finger scanner, and went on. He reached his office unit, kept his bag, and started working on the new project the chairman had given him the previous day. No one else had yet arrived as Wilson was the only one who agreed to work on a Sunday. After around an hour, he decided to take some rest. As he walked towards the vending machine, he sighed sadly as he did not have enough money for buying some refreshments. The lights were dim and the day seemed to be dull. He suddenly noticed that the Photostat machine was already switched on. He walked towards it and tried to examine it. A sheet went in and popped out after a couple of seconds.
He pulled it out and discern a black circle on it. It seemed as if the circle was having a lot of vacant space inside it. It was not appearing like a normal hole. He touched the paper and surprisingly, he was able to insert his hand inside the circle. He was too amazed and it was quite natural. He tried doing the same two to three times and just to remove all his doubts, he went near the vending machine once again. Wilson pasted the sheet on the vending machine glass and popped his hand inside. His hands were his eyes and ears. They sensed and touched different things. When he pulled his arms back, he was holding a can of Coke. He understood that if he placed the paper on any object, he would be able to sense things inside it and could even bring those out. An idea struck his mind and he went towards the safe. By now, we can tell that he was too gluttonous. He was contented that his colleagues were not present at the moment. He pasted the black hole on the safe and put his hand inside. He could feel the money kept inside and one by one he was bringing out all the cash. For speeding the work, he himself somehow got inside of it. After a few seconds, something regretful happened. The paper fell on the floor.
