THE BLACK CAIMAN

Tiruchirapalli is one of most busiest districts in Tamilnadu after Coimbatore, Chennai and Madurai. People from various districts come for jobs and other works.

As the time progresses towards sunset, traffic decreased slightly. Slowly, the place turned darker. Around 8:30 PM, a black Dixit car comes to the Dustbin yard of Turaiyur and disposes some bundles in the dustbin.

The car leaves away from the place. The next day, a passerby around sixty-five years of age comes as usual for walking and walks in that place with his dog.

As he is nearing the dustbin yard, the dog smells something bad through it's nose. It runs towards the dustbin. The passerby goes to rescue the dog from the dustbin and is shocked to find bundles of bags, thrown inside the dustbin.

The bags seems to showcase some rotten and fowl smell, which makes someone to feel like vomiting. The local informs to the corporation and they comes to the spot.

Upon checking the bundles, they see the corpse of ten women in the bundles. They informs to the police. With Forensic department and ambulance on one side, the police team led by ACP Harish goes to the spot.

In the spot, he is unable to control his tears, having seen the brutality and leaves from the place covering his nose with a mask. The dead girl's bodies are sent for post-mortem analysis.

Aravinth is a drunkard living in Manapparai. He is now in half-duty due to some unknown reasons. Despite being genuine and gentle towards everyone, he turns aggressive and violent, once he takes full alcohol and cigarette-smoking.

A rays of past memories make Aravinth violent and anger. JCP Rajasekhar, being his mentor have advised him so many times to rejoin officially. But, he have not pay heed to his words and brushed off his requests.

The post-mortem reporter Dr. Gopal meets Harish to whom he tells, "I was unable to control my tears, Harish. The killer have brutally raped these girls and have tortured them mercilessly. In addition, when they are alive he have removed their sex organ. They have struggled a lot and died, after suffering hell pains. He is a psycho as per the reports."

Harish is unable to control his emotions and he closes his ear upon hearing these. Then, he meets JCP Rajasekhar and submits the post-mortem reports of those girls.

He tells him, "Sir. I can't handle up this sensitive case. I feel disgraced and upset to handle this complicated and depressing case."

"Harish. You are the only officer, to handle this case. In addition, you know to solve this case by using intelligence and smartness. If you go back, then my present investigation team cannot handle this case."

"Sir. More than me, we had Aravinth also previously. He is also known for handling cases in a smart and intelligent manner. Because, he have studied for detective as well as he know well about the psychopath murderers. Why can't we retain him back to this case?"

"Harish. Don't you know, why did Aravinth gone for half-duty?"

"Very well I know sir."

FEW DAYS AGO:

Aravinth was raised up by JCP Rajasekhar IPS. He was his mentor and trained him physically by giving him hard-core training practices. In his childhood days, Aravinth have read a lots of books about crime, historical events and several other books about Sherlock Holmes and other novels, that depicts about the smartness and intelligence in handling tough situations.

Aravinth was 2008 IPS batch. He was included in the team of Sai Adhithya, with whom he shared a special and close bond. Sai Adhithya is genuine and caring in his attitude.

He assisted Aravinth and have accompanied him for several cases. One day while going to home having finished the duty, Aravinth and Sai Adhithya sees a guy stalking a girl for making his love a success.

The guys goes near to him and slaps him.

"Sir. Why did you slap me unnecessarily?" The guy asked them.

"Why are you following this girl da?" asked Adhithya

"I love her sir. That's why I followed her to get my love accepted."

"Adhithya. Have you heard this? He is following her to make his love successful!"

"Do you know one thing? Stalking is a crime."

"As per Section 354D(1)(1) of Criminal Law Act, Stalking is a crime da. You can meet her personally and try to get your love accepted. Not by these means. If we see you once again like this, we would arrest you. Mind it."

The guy apologizes having realized his mistakes and leaves from the place. Afterwards, Sai Adhithya and Aravinth encountered a gangster ruthlessly in Trichy.

Because he is becoming threat day by day and additionally he is trying to bring some drug mafia. In retribution, the gangster's younger brother killed Sai Adhithya to avenge his brother's death. An angry Aravinth killed him in a fit of anger.

PRESENT:

"At present, he is losing his life too by drinking and smoking. We shouldn't lose such a good police officer sir. Let's bring him back," said Harish.

JCP Rajasekhar agrees. He meets Aravinth and shows him the reports of Post-mortem. He pleads with him to rejoin the police department. Aravinth eventually agrees. Since, Sai Adhithya shed the flowers down, which shows that he have to take up this case.

Aravinth shaves his beard and does box cutting. He comes back to police service. Upon seeing him an officer recognizes his identity and tells, "He is ACP Aravinth right. Is he still on-duty?"

Aravinth gets the case report of those girl's murders by Harish. He starts a parallel investigation with the case reports.

In between this case, Aravinth falls in love with a radio jockey named, Hasini. He didn't do stalking and proposed his love straight by going to her radio jockey. She rejects his love and continuously avoids him for some reasons..

Later, he saves her from a bunch of goons, who tried to rape her. They become good friends eventually. Meanwhile, Aravinth and Harish goes to the spot where the body was disposed off in order to get some clues for the case.

There they sees beggar and seller in the place and asked them, "Sir. Did you notice any guy or car coming to this place during night times?"

"No sir. After night, vehicles would reduce slightly. We too would leave from this place."

Aravinth analyzes with the report that, "The killer have cleverly analyzed about the places and surroundings. Having learned very well about these things, he have disposed off the body."

Back to his home, Aravinth plays chess with Harish. While playing the game, he recalls the place of dustbin yard. He realizes that, he have failed to check the CCTV camera footage, which is crucial and important for this case.

He meets the CCTV camera owners and gets the CCTV footage of that particular day. In the footage, a car have come with the number plate TN 34 AZ 1236. However, the person of that car have not been recorded clearly.

Because, he have wore black suits and covered his face. Infact, he have known that this place have CCTV cameras. With the number plate in his hand, Aravinth goes to investigate about the car.

However he is let down with disappointment. Because, the car's number plate is fake. To proceed with this case faster, Aravinth takes up a study on psychopath. Upon reading this, he comes to know about various psycho-killers like: Ed Gein, Charles Manson, Ted Bundy, Richard Remirez and Jodiac killer.

Harish tells about Jack the Ripper upon seeing his photo saying, "Aravinth. Do you know about Jack? London’s Jack the Ripper was never properly identified, but he is world famous. Not only did he kill prostitutes in the late 1800s, but he removed their sex organs as well. Not much is known about him, but it is clear that he had a severe hatred of women, particularly prostitutes, which has led some people to theorize that his mother might have been one as well. He left his victims on full display on the street for police and citizens to discover."

Aravinth smiles and proceeds to study about the case. While going into this case, he recalls about some lines of Harish and asked him, "Harish. Come again. You told something about sex organs right?"

"Yes Aravinth. I told that, he would remove sex organs of women, after getting them killed."

Aravinth takes this as a base for solving this case and decides to sketch the character of that psychopath in his mind by closing his eyes.

"So, the psychopath is a misogynist. He raped women and then removes their sex organ, after killing them. He finally left the victims in the dustbin yard for citizens and police to discover."

FEW DAYS LATER:

Like the six girls, another girl named Anitha gets kidnapped when she is back to her home. After two days, she had been found dead in the same dustbin yard. Additionally, there is a similarity between her death and the six girl's death. She had been raped brutally. Only difference is that, she have been tortured brutally with electric shocks. Due to the shocks, she died and then, he have removed her sex organ.

Realizing that the killer is trying to gain the attention of public, Aravinth suggests JCP to hide the corpses of Anitha. Since, it's the violation of protocol rules he initially refuses to oblige. Eventually, he gives up and agrees to his request.

The bodies are shifted to a secret facility under the post mortem analyst. In the same way, a college student named Pooja is abducted while she is on her way to the college. Their search leads to famous radio jockey Joseph. He is a womaniser and works as Hasini's colleague. Joseph forces girls into irrumatio. When he tried to rape Hasini in the same way, he is stopped by Aravinth.

He angrily shoots him in the arms. However, Joseph is admitted in the hospitals. They confronts to Joseph asking about the whereabouts of Pooja.

He tells them: "Indeed I have kidnapped Ankitha to have sex with her. For this, one of his friend Rajiv helped him. You have known this. I mixed sedation for Ankitha. She saw this and escaped from my home. However, she gone missing. I saw a car passing my home at that time. Something likely TN 34 AZ 1236."

Aravinth realizes he is not connected with the murders and decides to fasten up his investigation with the car number. However, Joseph holds Harish at gunpoint in order to escape from the hospitals. In order to protect and save Harish, Aravinth kills Joseph dead as an act of self-defence.

Aravinth meets Pooja's parents in order to know about some lead for this case. He learns that, Pooja was stalked by her classmate as he fell in love with her. However, she rejected his love proposal. They suspects that, he could have kidnapped her.

Upon investigating him, Aravinth learns that: "He haven't been involved with her kidnapping." A day later, she too is found dead being raped brutally and her sex organ been removed in the same way. While the case is going on one side, Aravinth attends a birthday party of Harish's cousin Samyuktha, whom he is raising up after her parent's death. She is now a college-first year student.

Now, Samyuktha is also kidnapped by the serial killer. Harish panics and he gets consoled by Aravinth. They conducts a search for Samyuktha during the birthday party. This time, Samyuktha's close friend Raghav is confronted by Aravinth.

He tells them that: "He have been her close friend for since school days. She have came to give him chocolate. But, as she went outside he saw a car abducting her forcefully and he ran away from that place terribly."

While having a break in searching her, Harish tells to Aravinth, "Friend. Her parents died in her very young age da. I raised her up from that time. If she comes that's enough for me da. Nothing other than that is needed for me da."

Aravinth consoles him and goes back to open his car door and takes the gift, which he planned to give for Samyuktha. After a while, he opens his car door and saw her dead body.

She too is brutally raped and killed in the same way. Her sex organ had been removed when she was alive. Aravinth emotionally breaks down and falls down after seeing her body.

Harish sees this and asked him, "Aravinth. What happened da? What's there in that car? Show me."

He comes near to him and Aravinth tells him, "No Harish. Please. You shouldn't see that da. Please da." He cried.

"Hey. I have raised her up da. She is like my own sister. Allow me to see her da." Harish cried and begged with him.

Aravinth is left with no words to say and falls down, crying. Harish goes and saw his niece's brutal death. He falls down, closing his car.

His eyes are filled with tears. His face turned pale and he taps his hand in the road crying aloud. Tears flowed like Ganges river in his eyes. Aravinth also cries in the roads.

At that time, Hasini comes there and sees both of them crying aloud.

"Aravinth. What happened da? Aravinth!!!" She even sees Harish crying aloud looking at the car. Hasini tried to open the car. But, she is stopped by both of them.

"Please Hasini. Don't open that door." Both of them said, crying. She pushes them asides and opened the door. She saw the dead body of Samyuktha, in a severed way.

Tears filled in her eyes and she too falls crying aloud. Harish then tells to Aravinth, "Hey Aravinth. Take her for post mortem da."

Aravinth takes the car and goes to the post mortem office. While going, he and Harish recalls the memorable moments, that they spent with Samyuktha. Her body gets post-mortemed.

"We are unable to do anything as a police officer da Aravinth. Why should we need this uniform da? I failed to defend my own niece da."

"Harish. We should cremate her body, only after catching that killer da. Until then we shouldn't mourn or cry for Samyuktha's death." They both takes oath to kill the psychopath once he gets caught in their hand.

However, at the same time, things go even more worse. Because, Aravinth shot Joseph dead. Human Rights commission have raised questions about this and left with no way, JCP suspends him to avoid further complications. However, they are asked to investigate in undercover. Because, JCP is suspending them only to avoid complications.

Dejected and even more angry, Harish and Aravinth decides to investigate the case by themselves with the help of few policemen.

FEW DAYS LATER:

Surprisingly, Aravinth gets a clue about the death of Pooja through her audio clip(which he got when searching for something in the house),

where he hears a song "We are the world..." is played and then, the sounds of Pooja being raped and the knife sounds heard, at the time, where her sex organ is removed.

Since Hasini is a radio jockey, Aravinth gets her help to investigate about this song and gets the approval of JCP. After this, he plays the song in the radio and asked the college and school students regarding this song. No one gave any response to this.

However when he was about to leave the radio jockey, a college student tells: "Sir. I know this song. I have heard this in my college."

"Ramya. Which college is that ma?"

"Saint.George's College in West Taluk of Trichy sister. Our music teacher Raghavan used to play this."

Aravinth and Harish goes to the college where they hears the same song, played by Raghavan. He impressed the girls with his music skills and acts as to be polite and affectionate. He lures the girls with this trap and then uses this as a tool to rape and murder girls. That's how Samyuktha got trapped and killed...

He did this without any hassle. Harish creates an awareness in the school about the psychopath. He asked the students to be bold and dial them, if they need any help.

Raghavan kidnaps his other victim named, Reshika. He takes her to a dark and secluded forest near to Marungapuri. The place seemed to be unusual and unsafe for human being to enter. In the house, Reshika is made to sit. Raghavan sings the song by playing his piano.

While Reshika dials Harish and Aravinth. They tracks her location and finds it to be dark and unusual location. When Raghavan was about to rape Reshika, Harish entered and saves her narrowly. However, Raghavan escapes from the place.

Henceforth, Harish and Aravinth searches for any clues in the house and comes across a newspaper and one photo. In the newspaper, they comes across a retired ASP Vishnu Prasad IPS, who arrested Raghavan for a case, long back ago.

They goes to meet him with the photo. There, they saw him in a wheelchair. He tells them, "His name is not Raghavan. But, his name is David Christ."

FEW YEARS AGO:

David Christ suffered from Attention Deficit Hyperactivitiy Disorder. Because of this he cannot listen properly to anyone, he forget things easier and can be distracted easily. Because of this he suffered a lot in his own family.

Only his father George Williams supported him. His mother Mary disguised him and insulted him. She had left them alone and gone for her mother's house when he was 18 years old. Then, George turned alcoholic and died due to his decline in health.

In school and college too, David's life was a hell. Many named him as "psycho" and "mental." This really angered him. Girls were particularly teasing him. He got insulted by the girls. Henceforth, he targets a girl named Aaradhana, a Brahmin girl. He first kills his mother and her family brutally to death. Before killing his mother, he brutally rapes his niece infront of his mother and removed her sex organ, which he shows to his mother and makes her to die.

Afterwards, he goes to the house of Aaradhana. There he killed her parents brutally and then, angrily chased her to a secluded place when she ran away.

Aaradhana pleads with him, "David. Please spar me. Don't do anything."

However he slaps her and tells her, "You all only nicknamed me as, "Pyscho, Sengal Psycho, Mental, etc. I have to act like such right."

He removes his dresses and then, strips Aaradhana's sari. After making her naked, he brutally raped her and passes his sperm inbetween her legs. Then, he injects her a morphine and removes her sex organ.

Still more, he is unable to control his anger. He remembers the same words "Psycho, Sengal Psycho and Mental" as a repetition in his mind.

"You all should suffer and die." David said and he brutally stabs her ten times in the chest. Additionally he slits her throat. Having cut her one hand and one leg, he finally disposed her body.

PRESENT:

"I arrested him for the murder and while taking him, he pushed me asides to a tree and escaped from the place. I got paralyzed due to the accident and relieved from the case." ASP Vishnu told him.

"After that where did he go and hide?" asked Harish.

"I heard that, he died in an accident. But, I am shocked to learn that, he is still more alive." Vishnu Prasad said. Harish and Aravinth decides to unravel the mystery behind the identity of Raghavan.

While they are taking break, Vishnu Prasad sees two more photo in the photos, that was brought by Harish and Aravinth. In the first photo, he notices the music ceremony function, where Raghavan performs the music with a tattoo in his hand written as, "Nolan."

Additionally he finds the same tattoo in the other photo of his childhood and gets confused. Because, with him there is one more guy, looking exactly like him.

To clarify his doubts, Vishnu dials Harish and Aravinth. To them he tells: "Harish. I have to meet you at once."

They both rushes there. While, Vishnu takes a medicine for his headache. Upon reaching there, Vishnu shows them the photos where Aravinth looks at the photos of look-alike.

He realizes that, David have a twin brother name John Nolan. He have the tattoo of his name in the left hand. Then, they goes back to the house, where they took these photos. There, they conducts a search for some clues and finds a dilapidated diary.

They brings the diary faster back to Vishnu's house. In the diary, Nolan have described what happened further after David have escaped.

David and Nolan were born as twins. David suffered from ADHD. While, Nolan was a normal child. However, David is ridiculed continously by his friends and this really hurt him a lot. Infact, Nolan have supported him a lot when he killed Aaradhana and their own mother. Since, she was the reason behind everything including their father's death.

David came to meet him back in a secluded forests near to Puliyancholai Waterfalls, where they have hidden. There, he commits suicide by falling off a cliff into the waterfalls.

Nolan was really dejected with the death of his brother. He turns a psychopath and gone mad. To avenge his brother's death he became a misogynist and started to target girls. Since he had the music talent from childhood, Nolan used it as a bait to reach girls. He then killed them by raping brutally. After which, he would remove their sex organ, when they are alive as well as when they are dead.

Aravinth and Harish meets JCP, to whom they tells the serial killer's name as Nolan. They ask him to arrange for a tight security, to which he obliges. Because, there would come a thousands of cars in the road of Trichy, being a busy city. They can't check every car.

Aravinth feels dejected. Because, he would now roam freely around the place, due to the lack of warning and awareness among the public.

As he and Harish are lamenting, Nolan calls them through Hasini's cell phone, whom he have kidnapped.

"Yes Hasini. What do you want?"

"Aravinth...Aravinth..." She shouts in fear.

"Hasini. What happened?" asked Harish.

"Guys. Have you heard her crying? If you try to catch me, then she too would die today. If you are quite, she would come as a dead body after some days later."

"Nolan." Aravinth and Harish shouted.

He laughs at them and hangs the call. He

however sees Hasini gone missing. She is running towards the house of post-mortem officer. He dies as he tried to save her.

Aravinth and Harish traced Hasini's location in the office of post-mortem reporter and reaches there successfully. Both of them are unable to fight with Nolan.

Since, he is smart and cool-looking. Nolan have holded Hasini in gunpoint. At that time Aravinth remembers that, "We can trap a psychopath using his weakness. Due to that weakness, his hands would shiver, he don't know what to do! He would change his target. Then, we can trap him."

"Sengal Psycho" said Aravinth, seeing Nolan.

"Mental...Mental..." Harish said, seeing Nolan. Upon hearing this, Nolan remembers the same words uttered by his friends and the insult, suffered by his brother. He goes towards Harish and Aravinth angrily, with his hands and leg shivering.

Both of them severely beat up Nolan and overpowers him using their martial arts skills. Then, Nolan tries to unseath a nearby knife and attack them. However, Harish tricks him and grabs his knife.

Having remembered the way Samyuktha and several other girl's brutal death in his hands, Aravinth holds Nolan's leg.

"Harish. You stab this psychopath to death. Because, you have suffered a lots of pain," said Aravinth.

Having remembered about Samyuktha's death, Harish stabs Nolan multiple times. Nolan tells, "I have finished my century by raping women, who ill treated us. I have fulfilled my desire like a Black Caiman, which would eat fish and small animals, but the larger species can even hunt capybaras or jaguars or human beings...haa haa haa..."

While laughing itself, he died with his eyes gone up. Harish and Aravinth leave the place, along with Hasini.

Harish cremates Samyuktha. Aravinth and Hasini mourns her death.

FEW DAYS LATER:

Aravinth and Harish rejoined the duty after finishing their period of suspension and facing the human rights commission board. In addition, he and Harish are praised for catching the psychopath serial killer.
