I reached the party venue a bit late. Most of the people had left by then.

Rithvik saw me and was pleasantly surprised. He mentioned sarcastically that he had lost all hopes of seeing me to the party.

I told him about Alka, how I was supposed to come with her and she could not make it and I got late.

He offered to get me a drink and I politely declined. I told him it's already late and I should be leaving now. He insisted me to stay a little longer. He got me a soft drink. There was soft music playing all along.
