He still hadn't spotted me, I drifted slowly towards him, hoping he wouldn't be miffed. Everyone in college spoke about how grave his temperament usually was. For a second, I wished I could read his mind so that I knew exactly what I was getting into.
I stood in front of him, he looked at me with soft eyes, somewhat staring and then gazed into my eyes straight. Realizing that I was still standing, he stood up and asked me to sit pulling the chair next to me.
He confessed that he was afraid I wouldn't turn up and then told me I was looking really hot. I was embarrassed a bit because of the sexual tone of the compliment. I should have thought twice about wearing a sleeveless top with a deep neckline and that too without a stole or jacket for our first meeting.
