Sophie and the return of Emily                          Chapter 1 

           Sophie Summers

 

“Get me out of this thing” I demand, angrily. 

“I will let you out……. After I tell you my evil plan” Emily replies.

“Ok fine” I say, grumpily. 

“Ok so my plan is to: Step 1: go undercover at your school. Step 2: make new friends, friends that will follow me loyally Step 3: have a secret surprise for everyone. Got it?” Emily asks.

“Yay” I say sarcastically. 

 “Ok I will let you out now” Emily answers. 

 She lets me out,and then quickly leaves my house. 

 “Tomorrow is going to be a weird day” I tell myself as I fall asleep. 

 “RING RING RING” My alarm clock announces loudly.

 I wake up, put my School clothes on, and head downstairs to get breakfast.

“Hi mom” I say, to my mother.

 “Hi sweetie, how are you?” She asks me.

 “Oh I am doing pretty good.” I tell her between bites of my cereal. 

  

I hefted my backpack onto my back, and rushed out the door.

“Bye mom” I yell as I climb onto the bus. 

 I sit in my usual seat with Lizz and then I see HER.

Chapter 2

               Lizz Falcon 

   I try to have a simple conversation with Sophie but she seems very distracted. And when a new girl gets on the bus, Sophie’s calm face turns the color of a spicy pepper.

The new girl claims that her name is “Abigail” but I don’t believe her. 

   

She sits down in the seat across from us, and I give her a long hard stare. 

“Well hello I’m Abigail, who are you?” Says “Abigail” sweetly. 

 I stare at her, and realize that she looks SUPER familiar.

“You of all people should know who I am EMILY”I say sharply glaring at her.

“You must think i am someone else because my name is Anna. who is Emily?”She says, still smiling sweetly. Too sweetly I think to myself. 

 

For the rest of the bus ride, Sophie told me about what happened to her last night. Over Sophie’s shoulder, I see so called “Abigail” glaring at us. 

As soon as we walked into class “Abigail” immediately started to try to make friends. 

In a matter of minutes, “Abigail” had two new loyal friends, Trixie and Dixie, the most annoying people in our homeroom class. At first thought, I wondered why she would choose THEM. Then I remembered that “Abigail” is evil. 

Then at lunch, I heard them whispering something about tomorrow and hypnotizing people. Then I quickly rush over to Sophie and tell her about what they said.

“So tomorrow, their plan is to hypnotize people! Thank goodness I will be gone to some lousy dentist appointment.” Sophie says quietly.

‘I will be absent too, but that is because I have a doctors appointment.” I tell her. 

“Well that is good for both of us!” Sophie whispers back. The rest of the day went smoothly, i got a good grade on my History test and my reading test, went to science, did good in there too (as always), then went home.

 I had no idea that Sophie's mom planned to change a certain dentist appointment for Sophie… 

              Chapter 3 

             Sophie Summers

            The next day

“What!” I yelled at my mom, after she told me that she had to move my dentist appointment. 

“Calm down Sophie It is just a dentist appointment, Now go get on the bus.” My mom says, calmly.

 “Sorry mom” I say, grouching.

 I grab my backpack and slowly walk to the bus stop. 

 When the bus arrives, I sit in my seat and to my surprise, Nick sits down next to me. 

 “Hi Nick,” I say sadly. 

 “What’s wrong, Sophie?” Nick asks me, worried.

 So I tell him about what is going on today, and he listens closely. When I finish, he can’t believe it. 

 “Wow, and all of this is happening today!” he asks, amazed.

 “Yes” I say, nervously. 

“Well then we have to get out of here!” he says his voice now leaning toward panicking.

“No we can’t because we HAVE to see what she's going to do if she succeeds.”I say calmly more than I felt at least.

When we walk into the classroom and take our seats, the teacher announces that there will be a special show in the auditorium. I quickly raise my hand, and ask:

“Ms.Quain, may I go use the restroom?” I ask, hurrying, so I can not be hypnotized. 

“Yes you may, but go quickly” she replies. 

I whisper to Nick to meet me by the 10th grade stairs. He gives me a thumbs up signal , and I walk out of the room. 

I ran to the 10th grade stairs and waitfor Nick. And wait. AND WAIT. 

          AND WAIT

After 15 minutes of waiting, I peer into the auditorium, and I see Nick, HYPNOTIZED!!!!!!!!!

When everyone exits the auditorium, the only thing that they say is: 

“Must surve Emily” even the teachers!

So I follow along, and pretend to be hypnotized. 

The rest of the day was great! No science, no math, no reading, and no writing. After all everyone could manage to say was:

 “Must serve Emily.”

As soon as I got home, I was relieved to be back in my own room. Not around people who can only say one sentence. 

Then I call Lizz and tell her.

“Lizz! So glad to be around someone who can say more than one sentence.” I tell her.

   

“Huh? What do you mean?” Lizz asks, confused.

“Ok I’ll explain. So my dentist appointment got canceled. Then I told Nick about Emily’s plan on the bus. We tried to escape the hypnotizing things. I did, but Nick didn’t. Then all people could say when they were hypnotized was: “Must surve Emily” . Now I am here” I explain.

“Oh my gosh! That is so crazy! I can’t believe it! School tomorrow will be bananas.” Lizz exclaims. 

“Yeah i guess so.” i say 

“why won’t Emily just leave Nick alone? I mean really.”I continue, upset about the thought of it.

   So we came up with a plan. As we just put the plan into action at school the next day, I saw a swirly light come towards us. 

 Then I saw Nick carrying the swirly screen. I knew I shouldn't look at it but it was like a rainbow. More and more it felt like I was getting pulled closer and closer.

 It was so mesmerising then when I finally realized what was happening my own thoughts for myself were gone and i really disliked it. No, I think I actually liked it! No worries, no stress, no thoughts for myself!

“Must surve Emily!” I mumble.

             Chapter 4 

            Emily Smithstone

My evil plan is going pretty smoothly so far. I got the dweeb Sophie hypnotized, but the cost was Nick being unhypnotized. Who knew that some nobody could mess up the whole plan! 

I really need to get that girl who got Nick unhypnotized! She seems like a genius, pretty much the same deal as Sophie, but a tad better. How did she even know that the only way to un hypnotize a person is to teach them how to say hello! 

All I wanna do is just find her weakness, and then I would be able to have her as one of my best servants. There is also no possible way for Nick to know how to un-hypnotize people. So I think that this plan might actually work!

First I have to find her whatever her name is and the handsome betrayer Nick. Then I have to get my closest servant to hold a screen to hypnotize the two people in my way. I shall finally defeat my enemies!!!! Mwahaha!!! I call Sophie and say something to her that i have always wanted to say to her all my life and from the moment i met her.

“Go find Nick and the other person and shove this hypnotizing screen in their faces” I demand, loudly.

“Must surve Emily” is Sophie’s response. 

She grabs the hypno screen (a screen that can hypnotize people) and sets off to find them.

My plan is going to work for sure!

        Chapter 5

          Lizz Falcon 

Were cornered. No escape. Nowhere else to look away. I pull my wand out of my pocket and blast the screen. Or so I thought. 

I hear a gasp of pain. I look at Nick. He is fine, that means my spell hit……… Sophie!

Sophie falls to the floor, dropping the screen. I rush over to her, avoiding the glass from the dropped screen. 

“Sophie?!” I yell, nervously awaiting an answer. 

“Lizz?” she says, sleepily. 

“Sophie you're okay!” I say, happily. 

“What happened?” she asks, confused.

“Well you got hypnotized and tried to hypnotize Nick and me” I explain. 

“Oh I am really sorry” Sophie says, sadly. 

 “I forgive you!” I say, warm heartedly. 

 “So Sophie is your weakness, whatever your name is. Now with you going to be in my control I can make every person in the country my servant! Yes yes yes.” a voice that was probably Emily said in the shadows.

 Then a whole army of hypnotized people all came with hipno screens and then  I knew I shouldn't look at it but it was like a rainbow. More and more it felt like I was getting pulled closer and closer.

“Run run go go go!!!” Sophie yells at me and nick. Nick and I looked at each other and then we scampered up the 11th grade staircase and ran into the science classroom. 

“We should be safe here” Sophie whispers to us.

I turn around and see a skeleton behind me. My reaction is to scream, but Sophie cups her hand over my mouth.

“Relax Lizz, it’s just a fake skeleton that they use to teach 11th graders with.” Sophie whispers, calmly and comfortingly.

         I check my watch. It is already 5:30! 

        “I’ve got you now!” Emily says approaching the door to the science room.

       “Oh no you don’t!” Sophie says loudly. “Follow me” she whispers.

       We follow her down a secret set of stairs and it leads……. to the library.

       “Why are we so safe in the LIBRARY?”I ask, confused.

       “The library is the only place that is not filled with hypnotized people.” Sophie tells me.

       “Oh that makes sense, because I mean barely anyone in the entire school uses the library. Except for studying, that is.” I answer back.

   “ The only way to un hypnotize a person is to teach them how to say hello” I go on.

         “Knock knock knock” someone bangs on the door.

         We don’t respond because that would be crazy.

          I start to look at these new books that they have, and don’t realize that the door had opened and Emily came in with a screen. It was a hipno screen.

   I started to look at it, and it looked cool. I felt like I was floating and getting sucked somewhere distant and beautiful. I loved it so I kept staring and staring. I felt like I was doing something wrong but also right and loving. Then Emily was saying 

“Yes that's right just keep looking and all your worries will go away and you will finally be under my control… yes yes yes i will finally rule the world!” I couldn't stop looking. Then all thoughts were gone into oblivion. 

Chapter 6 

 Nick Thomas 

Help me! I am literally in a life threatening situation. Right now, I am stuck in the library with an evil person pointing her wand at ME! 

“Uhhh, why are you pointing your wand at me?” I ask, nervously.

 

“Well, you join me and become evil, or be hypnotized by my servants over there.” She replies, smiling an evil smile. 

I quickly take my wand up out of my pocket, and point it back at Emily.

“Floatonium” I holler, fastly.

As soon as the spell hits her, she starts to float, and her wicked smile turns into an angry face.

“Confusify” She shouts, still floating.

I dodge the spell, and I feel relieved.

I look over behind Emily, and I see Sophie with an unhypnotized mob of people! They storm over to Emily, and start to complain.

Then out of NOWHERE, Emily amies her wand at Sophie and yells:

“Plipuzdes” 

Sophie falls to the ground, in pain.

        Chapter 7 

          Sophie Summers

I feel……….terrible. I just got hit by one of the most feared spells in the history of the wizarding world.

I feel like I could have fought back, but my mind keeps telling me that the spell came out of nowhere. I guess that it is true. 

Nick is by my side, waiting for me to speak.

“I will be okay” I reassure him, weakly.

“How do you know?” he asks me, teary eyed.

“I just know,” I tell him, quiety.

I get up, and see Emily, as happy as can be. 

“I can finally rule the world! Mwahhhhaaaaa” She says, happily.

“Oh no!” Me and Nick whisper, nervously.

At that very moment, all the screens in the county turn into hypno screens!

         Chapter 8 

Emily Smithstone

I have triumphed. My evil plan has not failed! Right now, I am sitting on a throne well (really just a swivel chair) with my servants surrounding me. Now all I need to do is get access to all of the country’s tv’s and turn all the people in the country into my servants! I also made it to where my servants don’t just say “Must surve Emily’’ but they can say other stuff too!

   I can’t believe that this actually worked! After years and years of failing, I have gotten my first triumph! How can I congratulate myself? Oh I know, my suvents can bring me Sophie and I can make her do something for me. I don’t know what yet it will be something HORRIBLE! 

     “Sophie come here please” I holler, loudly.

     Then Sophie rushes over to me, and I tell her to go to the bank, and “borrow” some money.

     She does as I command, and rushes away with a big sack for the money.

    Well this is nice, I am in command of everyone. Well not EVERYONE but everyone in the school at least. Wait what if people who aren't in this school come and save all these miserable people! I’ll have to get into the country’s network soon! 

“Mrs.Plum! Come here!”I yell. Mrs Plum comes shuffling to me “Do you know how to get into the country’s network?: I continue, she nods “YES!!! I can finally win and rule this world! And I can put all my TRAITORS in PRISON!!! mwahahaha!” 

All afternoon, I made my servants do evil things. Nick stole a trophy from the display case in the hall. Lizz or at least I think that is what her name is, stole mail from the post office.And Mrs . Plum was getting into the country’s network. Everything was going perfectly. Right as planned.

 Then when the country’s network was hacked and everyone was hypnotized, I told everyone to leave the school and go out into the town.

     Then, I tell them to do as many EVIL things as they want to…. As I wanted to. In a matter of hours the town would be TRASHED!!!!!

      

Chapter 9 

 Jacob Thickle

I am the last person unhypnotized. Or I at least think I am. I quickly sprint past the screens on the bank, and head to the nearest alley. 

I run without looking where I am going, and bump into someone. I turn around, ready to give up and be taken to Emily, when I notice that it is someone else.

It is a really pretty girl with red hair, green eyes, and light skin. She has a hood on, and looks very determined to find something. Or someone. 

“Uh hi? I am Jacob Thickle” I whisper to her, quietly.

“Well nice to meet you Jacob, I am Tiffany Rosebud.” She replies, kindly. 

“I thought that I was the last person in the country who wasn’t hypnotized!” I quietly exclaim. 

“So did I but I am actually-” She starts.

“Shh someone is coming” I whisper to her. 

Oh no! The person coming is Emily! Tiffany blends in with the shadows, and Emily pushes me away to where the screens were. 

Tiffany casts me a nervous and upset glance. I give her a sad look in return. 

Emily shoves my face in front of a screen, and it is really mesmerizing and cool!

The more I stare at it, the more I feel happier. Then it comes to me: I tell myself that the real me would never do this. I struggle out of Emily’s grasp, and start to run but Emily's servants surround me in all directions. 

This is the end of my good guy career. For good.

           Chapter 10

               Tiffany Rosebud 

   Noooo! The last person I could trust is GONE! He is HYPNOTIZED! I feel so bad for letting it happen, but what else could I do besides watch him. My mind was telling me to rush over to him and help, but I would get caught if I did that. 

   

Come on Tiffany this is your chance to run! Actually you should stay and get hypnotized with the guy. What was his name? Jacob? No this is your chance to show your inner hero Tiffany! Without help and people will actually take you seriously with your foreseeing powers! 

Oh yeah, once I save Jacob I'll have to tell him that I can see the future and that I am from version162 “The hidden world”. I have to save the people here and bring them to my world! The girl doesn't know HOW to get to MY world so i assume we'll be safe. I check the future. 

There are only a few fragments that the girl figures out that were in a different world. And those are in like ten years if she does figure it out . Wait there's something so similar about her but I can’t tell what it is. It’s probably nothing. 

    I can’t believe that even Abigail, my own twin sister wouldn't even believe my visions of another world! When I get home, I will prove that there is another world outside of our world. It was so frustrating! So finally, after years of trying to convince people I just went here on my own , and now here I am watching Jacob getting pulled away from me.

I just can’t do anything because if they find out where I am from, I am caught and dead.

I put my hood over my eyes and ran into the light.

            Chapter 11

              Lizz Falcon  

I am floating in a blank space. No thoughts, no worries, no way out. As far as I remember, everyone in the country is hypnotized. Or so I thought. 

I know that this is not the usual everyday smart minded Lizz that I am, but I can’t help it. All I know is that I am hypnotized. 

No thoughts, no worries, no way out. 

What happens when Emily overtakes the ENTIRE world? Will everyone but her and her comrades be braindead?

No thoughts, no worries, no way out.

Is this truly me? Or is this all a dream? I sure hope that it is, because this is horrible. I hope that this is a dream, and that I will wake up any second now. 

No thoughts……. No worries…….. a way out!

Out of the nothingness appears a small black door. I move closer and closer and I walk through the black door. 

I return to society with a start. I expect to be in my bed, but instead a red haired girl is standing over me. 

“Ok listen closely, I have come to rescue you and your friends and we need to head over to that alley over there, then sneak away into the school, and get into the restricted room, numbered 162 ok?” She says, directing me. 

“Ok, got it?” I tell her, kindly.

When Emily is distracted, me and the girl run to the alley where Nick, Sophie, and Jacob are waiting. Then, we all run to the school then we open and close the door quietly. 

We all rush to room 162 and then the new girl (I learned that her name is Tiffany) gives us more directions.

She is about to tell us something when……. Emily burst into the room, boiling mad. 

  Chapter 12 

Emily Smithstone

   “What were you thinking whoever you are” I say, pointing to a girl with light skin and red hair. 

“Uhhh….. Think fast!” she says, throwing a really sharp pencil towards me.

I catch the pencil, and say:

“Really you’ll try to out smart me?” I say, slyly. 

“Uhhhh. Shure?”she says kind of stupidly.

“Well you're no fun. No doubt in you at all!”I say angrily “I need your weakness not your strength!”they all look at me confused. “WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT!?!” 

Then Sophie grabs all of her friend's hands and with a blast of light, they vanished.

Oh my gosh, I COMPLETELY forgot that Sophie had powers! Wait, I took some of her powers away from her, so I have powers too!

I close my eyes and think really hard but as much as I try, I can’t teleport. 

“ARRGHHH!!!” I angrily growl.

I find the nearest servant, and tell them to find Sophie and her friends.

When the servant comes back with them, I am quite surprised.

But when I see them draw their wands, my surprise turns into anger. 

      Chapter 13 

    Sophie Summers 

“Confusify” I shout loudly.

Emily dodges the spell, points her wand at Lizz and hollers:

“Eletricucia” 

Lizz is hit with the horrid spell, and falls back in pain. 

I rush over to her, and try to help.

“Lizz! Are you ok?!” I ask her, awaiting a response.

All I get from her is a moan of pain.

“Seriously Sophie, you think that I would stop here? Your next!!” Emily says, cackling. 

*Gulp* 

Instead of giving me the “Eletricucia” spell she looks at me and takes a MIRROR? Out of her pocket. Emily takes one look at my face and laughs and laughs. Then i realized that she's not laughing AT me she's laughing because of Tiffany. Tiffany was tickling her. A BUNCH.

“Stop it! I demand you to Stop!”Emily says hysterically.

“Well you're laughing so I think you're having fun! So of course i’ll keep going! But only for you Emily this is a special privilege.”Tiff says back to Emily who is still laughing.

 After five more minutes of Emily laughing so hard she fell to the floor, she finally escaped her grip and ran towards me with the mirror. 

“Time to give you a HORRIBLE makeover!” Emily says, cackling. 

“ Oh no! I should run or at least hide!” My mind is telling me.

So I dodge behind a bookcase and the mirror’s spell hits…………….. Tiffany! 

        

 Chapter 14 

         Tiffany Rosebud 

Oh my gosh! I was just hit with a spell from the magic mirror! A magic mirror spell makes you look like your most feared animal. Thet means….. That I will have the face of a YHNU (a cross between a pig and a wolf)!!!!!!!

      “ What IS she? It's not anything in this world!” Emily says oddly and confused.

     “Oh no! Emily might be onto me about where I am from!” I mutter under my breath.

     “Seriously what IS she? Is NO ONE going to answer me?”

“AHHHHHHHH!! OWWWWW!! NOO!” I start to scream. I’m having a vision and it’s NOT A GOOD ONE!!! Sophie dieing,Nick dead, Lizz hypnotized and fighting Jacob who turns around and starts staring at a hipno screen.

 I look around for me and finally see me also staring at a screen with a niiiiice screen. I like that I want that NO I CAN'T LOOK ANY MORE NO NO NO!!! But it looks so comfortable! NO NO NO!!!! I finally look away and pull myself out of the vision. 

      I grab my wand, point it at my face, and zap it. I look in the mirror and my face is back to normal.

     “Phew! “ I mutter to myself. “That was a close one. If my family sees me like that, they would freak out.” 

      I analize Emily and notice that her and my sister are pretty much identical. Wait! They are identical!!!!!!!! That can only mean……. 

“You're my sister!” I holler, angrily. 

“Oh so NOW you recognise me. After a few years of me being gone, you finally realize it is me!” say’s Abigail. “ Emily was just a cover name in case you came here so you wouldn’t know that it was me. But when you never came, I figured it would be fine to go by Abigail. But then people were already used to me being Emily so i have to keep the boring name” 

“But who is the one that was at home?” I ask, confused.

“Oh my clone” Abigail says, as if it doesn’t matter to her. 

“How dare you-” I start but before I can finish the sentence, everything goes black.

          Chapter 15

          Nick Thomas 

I am AMAZED! I can’t imagine what it would be like to have your own sibling betray you like that. I am an only child so it’s not like that would happen to me in my life, but still. 

I watch as Tiffany is hit with a dictionary by Abigail. I want to help, but I know that I would be next to be hit with the dictionary. I just stand there, in awe and horror. 

Abigail gets her servants to pick up Tiffany and take her to the jail. When they get there they will lock her in a jail cell. 

When they leave, I sneak out and quietly follow them. My mind is telling me that I shouldn't, but I am too curious. When i turn around to see if anyone was following me and see all THREE FRIENDS FOLLOWING ME PROBABLY TO THERE DOOM!! 

“What are you doing?!” I whisper yell at them.

“We are following you,.We figured that it was ok.” they reply in unison.

      “Okay fine, you can follow me.” I grumble.

      We continue to walk quietly, and follow Abigail to the jail.

      “We should be safe here” I whisper,crouching down behind a crate.

      But we weren’t. A guard spotted us and got the rest of the guards to surround us.

      There was no way OUT!

      

        Chapter 16 

      Jacob Thickle

All of my friends are TRAPPED! Except for me. I managed to sneak away before the guards came.

 So right now, I am standing in front of a jail cell with Tiffany in it. We have only just met 3 hours ago, but yet I am still mourning over her being unconscious. 

I can’t just stand here and mourn forever. I mean she is my new friend but, I need to do something about this. 

I get into action mode and I free the unconscious Tiffany. When I am about to help the others, I hear talking outside. 

I step out of the jail Tiffany draped over one shoulder, and I see my friends talking to a mob of unhypnotized people! 

“How did you-” I start.

“Don’t ask” they all reply in one voice. 

“What about Abigail?” I wonder out loud. 

They point to a handcuffed angry girl, police on either side of her.

“Wow, must have taken me longer than I thought to get Tiffany out of the jail cell!” I think to myself.

“We will not arrest you, but we will be keeping an eye on you” one of the police says to Abigail. 

Tiffany starts to wake, so I lay her on a bench.

“What happened?” She sleepily mumbles. 

“Oh um Emily hit you with a dictionary, locked you in a jail cell, and I believe that Jacob broke you out?” Sophie answers.

“Yep that’s what happened” I reassure Sophie.

“You're my hero!” Tiffany shouts, running over to me and giving me a big hug. 

“You’re welcome!?” I reply, confused and happy at the same time.

“Oh I need to show you something.” Tiffany says. “Follow me” 

We follow her back to room 162, half expecting Abigail to jump out at any second. 

When we arrive at the room Tiffany goes behind a bookcase, and we can’t see her anymore. 

I go behind it to find her, but then I fall through a portal of some sort!

I feel like this will be the biggest adventure that I will ever have.
