 Waiting for you, hoping for a perfect date kept me waiting anxiously.

Asking myself from time to time;

"Why didn't I bring flowers for her?", " Am I looking good."

With a quiet surrounding, I could hear my own heart beating. Things stood still for a moment and I could sense someone coming towards me.

As she pushed the restaurant door, rays of sunlight fell on her face. At that moment I could sense an angel walking towards me. Everything around me changed, I could hear the violin playing in my ear.

Her overexciting 'hello' broke the silence and helped me regain my sense. The first question which I hear from her was "Have you ordered something". I replied, "Yes." And she smiled and to which she replied: "This place plays my favourite songs." And I replied, "Surprisingly yes."

When the food arrived, she was delighted to see her favourite dish. I could hear her saying, "Umm, he knows all my choices." to which I just smiled. Fighting for food, making puppy faces for a bigger bite and all these silly things made me smile.

It was hard to maintain eye contact with her, the more I look, the more I found myself diving into an ocean of love without any equipment. After an hour or two, when it was time to leave none of us wanted to bid goodbye. Before leaving I signalled the waiter, and he brought us the wine. I knew how much she loved wine and I wanted to enjoy each and every moment before she leaves for New York.

Yes, she is leaving and I cannot do anything about it. It was our last meeting after we finished our drinks the restaurant played her favourite slow song. I couldn't resist and I asked for her hand to dance. The next thing I remember we were on the dance floor. While dancing everything around me seemed blur because my eyes were focused on her.

She slowly whispered in my ears, "I have to leave." The next thing I remember we were outside clicking pictures or in a simpler way I can say we were storing up the memories

Then comes the difficult part, none of us wanted to leave. She came forward to hug me, the hug lasted for a minute and I wonder why it didn't last forever. Before parting, I whispered, "You are the best thing ever happened to me." As I started walking in the opposite direction she called my name and I stopped midway. She wanted to say something but there was a sense of hesitation but after taking a deep breath she said, "I will miss you." But her eyes say a different story, I saw love in those eyes. I was standing there numb seeing her walking away from me.

I kept my hand near my pocket and felt something and then I realised I forgot to give her the letter which I brought for her. The letter stated, "You know nothing lasts forever, will you be my nothing?" I started walking in the opposite direction, the thought of turning back and looking at her came in my mind, I stopped in midway saying these words, "UNTIL NEXT TIME."
