This is the story of an old lady who was very polite and kind. She used to live alone in a big metro city where day and night blurred into one.

In such a big city, she used to live all alone in her big home. Daily she used to get up at four, take bath, go to a temple and made her breakfast and for the whole day she used to do knitting.

One day, she was enjoying a hot cup of tea sitting in her garden where birds used to talk with her in their own language as she used to keep some rice and water for them on the walls of her garden.

Suddenly she saw a group of children trying their best to take mangoes from a tree in her garden. She asked them their names and gave them a basket full of mangoes. But they were not willing to take them. They wanted to eat mangoes by themselves, not in that way. So, she told them to go climb up and take mangoes but they couldn't even walk properly and climbing a tree was a big dream for them.

Seeing their sad faces she came up with an idea and told them "let me teach you to climb a tree". Shamlata aunty started teaching them,  you have to do one leg like this and other like that and at the same time she was climbing the tree. They started laughing , seeing an old lady climbing a tree .She also started laughing with them.

She requested them to come to her home daily as she would teach them to climb  . They were four of them who lived in near by shanty . They went to their homes and next day Shamlata aunty was eagerly waiting for them but she was feeling that they would not come again. Suddenly she heard a voice from her gate "Shamlata aunty" she felt so happy to see them again . She started teaching them to climb  tree but they were not able to do so.

Daily they used to come to her  and try their best to climb  and to motivate them Shamlata Aunty gave them a small treat of ice creams, chocolates and toffees.

One day they were all feeling disheartened that we will never be able to climb  but she motivated them not to lose hope. She made them believe that today was the day when they will climb up there.

One of them started climbing  tree. Everyone started cheering . They all started climbing . Shamlata Aunty also followed them. Soon they reached to  the top of tree. They were all sitting with a smile on their faces on branch. They all were relishing the taste of sweetest fruit that is hard work , determination and dedication they had  mangoes in their hands which tasted different today....

Special thanks to my younger sister Jagriti Gaba to improve my grammatical mistake.
