My Determination To Get Fit

Once, I used to be a foodie who loved food. I had a craving towards junk food like Golgappas, Tikki, Pizza, spring roll. When I used to eat Samosa with Mithi Chatani it took me to heaven but due to all these reasons, my weight was increasing day by day.

Every time I checked my weight the pointer of the weighing machine was at the same place. So, I made up my mind that I will join a gym and start working on my body.

But here you will laugh if you are a fitness fanatic that I work so hard in the gym and after coming from the gym I eat junk food. I used to have a chilled bottle of cold-drink and a plate of momos.

I was not realizing what I was doing with my body due to all these reasons. I was not able to see major changes in my body. I was feeling frustrated and getting fed up.

Somewhere inside my heart, I did n't feel like going to the gym. So, I started going for a morning walk. Still, I was in the same position as I was not able to find out the real cause behind my increasing weight.

One fine day when I was in twelfth class before board exams very few students used to come in our school because all students were preparing for board exams and on that day only five students were present in the class and our English teacher "Harish Sir" came to class and he started discussing on something and soon discussion was going towards fitness and studies.

What he said was "Students go tuition classes or coaching classes after spending six to seven hours in school then what is the reason behind going to school when you have to get tuition to study instead of that our education system should be such that after spending six to seven hours in school students should go to parks or playgrounds in evening or indulge themselves into some physical activity because when you involve yourself into any physical activity happy hormones secrete from your body which gives happiness from inside.

Even if you earn very less then also you will feel happy because you are involving yourself into physical activity which gives you inner happiness and after that he started talking about junk food (by addressing all five students in class) you eat burgers, pizza, momos these all things are made up of refined wheat flour it sticks to stomach for about ten to fifteen days and imagine what are the harmful effects of this thing which you all enjoy eating.

Then he said you have to just control yourself till the point it reaches your tongue when you start chewing it when it gets into your stomach taste really does n't matter.

You just have to control yourself till junk food reaches your tongue. It is just the matter till that time. Instead of that, you should eat roasted Channas that will be good for your health."

All these things influenced me a lot and after that, I watched Dangal Movie on December 29, 2016, which inspired me to get fit.

On December 31, 2016, I took the pledge from now I will not eat junk food. Since then it's been three years and now I do not eat junk food and work hard on my body by doing exercise, running, walking and so on leading to transformation from a foodie to the fitness fanatic.

If I can, anyone can.

Thank-you

This was the best resolution which I took in my life...
