Re-Ramayana

           Chapter 1: The Curse

The fire of the Maha kund Yagnya had vanished living only the burning ember which had the burnt head of Prajapati Daksh. Veer Bhadra had finished his Laksh(mission), his red angry eyes were now calm and satisfied. Daksha's blood was dropping from veer Bhadra's sword, as he cleaned it by smearing the ash from the yagna kund.

Veer Bhadra acquainted " People of kankal and Gods present here, you have witnessed the anger of Lord shiva. I, Veer Bhadra be headed Prajapati Daksh for his imperishable ego and for humiliating Devi Shakti and my Lord shiva. I did this as an order from my Lord and to put balance back to the universe.

Now I shall Re-turn to Mahadev" and vanished.

The Palace which was charged with happiness and festivities was now filled with grief-stricken cries of his wife Prasuti and his daughters.

A Hard yet gloomy voice was heard.

The voice was filled with sorrow and regret. It was calling the name "Sati".

The mournful voice was none other than Lord Shiva.

Staring at the Half burnt body of Sati, shiva slowly walked towards it.

He kneeled down and clutched her head toward his chest and reverberated " SATI........ ".

Mahadev's voice was soo bhooming it shook trilokh. (Heaven, Earth and hell).

His eyes were filled with pain and agony and tears started to fall.

He picked her dead body in his arms and starts to walk.

Suddenly Lord Vishnu called shiva and avowed

" Mahadev, this might not be the right time to ask but........

The prajapati who was filled with revenge, anger ,ego and agyan is now dead. But it will destroy the balance of the world.

Prajapati deserved the punishment you gave but without his guidance, this world might begin to collapse.

So Mahadev I pray you to revive Daksh "

Brahma continues

" Yes Mahadev, my son deserved it for the sin he did, but Mahadev what Lord Vishnu said is true,

Without his guidance and his knowledge, this world might get itself perished ".

Prasuti interrupts and exclaims

" Oh my Lord, please save my Prabhu, please Mahadev forgive him for his sins. I beg you Mahadev, please save my mangalya, I pray you" and cries.

Shiva turns toward the beheaded body of Daksh and shoots a beam of light from his left eyes.

From the light grows a new head on Prajapati's body.

Prajapati suddenly gasps a bulk of air and sits he See his wife and askes for some water. When he sees his reflection in the water he sees a goat head attached to his body.

He drinks the water sadly. Daksh falls on the feet of Lord Shiva and cries

"Prabhu, I insulted you en number of times, I cursed you not to get worshipped or performed puja on you, I saw you as my enemy, still you forgave me and gave me a rebirth.

Oh Lord, my sins are unforgettable. Now I have realised my fault.

Mahadev as a punishment I'll leave all my luxury and I'll lead my life as a saint. Till my last breath, I'll not stop chanting your name my Lord"

Shiva doesn't say a word and goes away. At the bottom of mount Kailash, Shiva sits and sobs for days while holding satis burnt body.

Vishnu and Brahma appear in front of Shiva and request him to do the antyasamsakr(Funeral) for Sati and return being tridev.

But Shiva refuses and says

"Shiva can't exist without Sati", pics her body and starts to wander around the universe in grief. 

Confused on what to do next Brahma and Vishnu pray to Devi shakti.

Devi appears and Vishnu ask shakti

" Maate, please guide us on what to do next, without tridev the balance in the university is disturbed."

Devi shakti responds

" Vishnu dev, do not worry. Even though I was not able to join Mahadev, I'll take rebirth as another human named Parvathi as the younger daughter of Himnaresh Himvath and Menavati and I will marry shiva"

"But Vishnu dev, Lord shiva had given you a task for protecting Sati from getting insulted by Daksh, why didn't you adhere your given word"

Vishnu replies

"Maate, forgive me I was not able to keep my request as I was bound to the boon I gave Daksh. I had promised him to be on his side on the yagna"

Devi shakti states

" Vishnu dev though you were bound by your promise, you could have stopped Daksh insulting Sati as you are his Isht dev( Favored God) he would have listened to you and would have agreed to your command.

Vishnu dev you have commited a sin by not saying anything on the insulting of Sati. As for the punishment, I will curse you that you will experience the same fate as Lord shiva is experiencing now.

You will also lose your beloved half and wander as a human for years looking for her"

Lord Vishnu accepted the curse and Devi shakti vanished by stating this. 

Using his sudarshana chakra, vishnu burns the body of sati and truns it into Bhasma(Ash). Shiva realizes and applies the bhasma on his entire body.
