Part 2 She Was My Beginning, But Never My Ending
Written by Kingson

As he fell, someone rushed to him. A gentle voice called out, “Are you alright?”
Barely conscious, Daniel saw a beautiful woman, her eyes full of concern. Then everything went dark.

He woke up in a hospital the next morning.
The nurse said, “A woman brought you here. She didn’t leave her name… just said to take care of you.”
Daniel couldn’t forget her face. Days passed. Then months. Every night he drank, he dreamed of her. The mystery girl who picked him up when he was at his lowest.
One year later, Daniel joined a new office. Life had moved forward — but his heart hadn’t.
On the first day, he froze.
There she was.
The same woman. Her name — Riya.
She smiled, “Hey, long time... you probably don’t remember me.”
He did.
She offered friendship, but Daniel was scared. Friendship turns into love. And love turns into pain. He kept his distance. But Riya didn’t push. She stayed patient. Gentle. Present.

The Office Function
One evening, the office held a fun event. Everyone was cracking jokes. It was Riya’s turn to speak.
She walked up, smiling.
"Last year, I was at a wedding... and there was this drunk man. He grabbed the mic and said something I’ll never forget..."
People laughed. Daniel went still.
"He said: 'In movies, love always wins. But in real life... it's just memories that stay.'”
Some giggled. But Riya’s tone changed. She looked straight ahead.
"But I think he was wrong."
"Because if someone truly loves you, they’ll never leave. And if they leave... they never deserved your love in the first place."
Daniel’s heart thudded. She knew.
She had seen him, saved him, remembered him… and still stayed.

Love Finds Him Again
After that day, something changed. Slowly, Daniel began letting her in.
They started talking more. Sharing coffee. Laughing again.
One evening, Daniel looked at her and asked softly, “Why did you help me that night?”
She smiled, “Because I saw a man who loved deeply... and was falling apart alone.”
He didn’t reply. He just smiled — truly smiled — after years.

Time passed.
They fell in love — not like before. Not teenage, blind love. But quiet, deep, healing love.
Daniel and Riya got married.
And today, they have two beautiful kids — a 5-year-old son and a 3-year-old daughter.
Sometimes, when he sits quietly with his kids laughing in the background, Daniel still thinks of Aaradhya — not with pain, but with peace.
Because he knows now...
She was his beginning — but never his ending.
