One Cup of Chai

It was a cloudy day when the little Ridhu held my hand and started speaking his first word. A true blissful moment for me, I was searching my phone to record his first words but suddenly realized that I am just forgetting to feel and live the moment.

So, I just stopped and looked at my world-my everything, the little boy ridhu uttering one word and repeating the same.

My life took a whole new u-turn when ridhu was born. First-time moms and that too in digital world handling the pressures was quite difficult but with most loving people around me it was not that difficult.

11 months already went by, that now am not just a new mom but I am a person with more responsibilities.

I just realized that I had put on the stove the pressure cooker and with three whistle sound entering my ears, I just rushed into kitchen to turn it off.

While I was away to my kitchen my little one just would have felt tired. The time I came to living room, Ridhu had already began yawning. So, I took him and started to sing his favorite song and he started to sleep.

When I laid him on bed and sat by his side, my mind started to think. " I was a super busy VP of a development company before I became a mom, and now am in my maternity break. Hope when I return to work I will be a Super Mom & VP. " Having this thought I just looked at the window, as the weather was cloudy, it started drizzling. That is when I remembered during my work, when the climate outside would be similar what it is now, I would be busy with work and presentation and miss my favorite Chai. But today I have the time to make Chai and sit at my home balcony and enjoy the rain while I watch my little Ridhu sleep comfortably on the bed.

So, I just went straight to kitchen and made a cup of tea for myself and came to my favorite spot at my home, "The Balcony " and started to Sip Chai and enjoy the beautiful climate.

It is true that sometimes we may think we are doing great and accomplishing great things at work. But in reality we might be missing on all small happiness. In this fast pace of life it becomes evident that taking time off or going on a work break( be it for any reason) can give you the time to find small happiness and enjoy life. Like my One Cup of Chai that brought huge happiness to me on the day when my little one started speaking his first word, I have the correct thoughts which I will pass to him. So, I wish Ridhu also finds happiness in every small things around him and enjoys life in the fully digital fast-paced world.
