Nirbhaya Squad!!

She didn't need to understand the meaning of life; it was enough to find someone who did, and then fall asleep in his arms and sleep as a child sleeps, knowing that someone stronger than you is protecting you from all evil and all danger.

She feels protected, safe and secure. But, only when she was with her parents with her husband.

But, what when she has to step out for work, waiting for a bus, travelling in to autos, hiring a cab, how she can feel safe walking on the roads, in scary dark nights...even when she enter the college, going to school, tutions ....how safe is she??

Yes, she is safe now, not so sure but the initiative which Nasik police is operating has started has great impact on this kind of people who dare to abuse in the crowd, commenting and giving dirty looks..

Recently, I was going to Collegeroad daily for some workshop and the very first day when I went there I was so scared to see the big groups of boys, was scared to pass by them, but, I was surprised that they were not bothered how beautiful girls are walking next to them, what are they wearing nobody dared to lift their neck up and see...I was so happy to see the things changed in the Nasik city, this was the same campus which I use to come every day 10 years back where I was so afraid to step inside the campus, the group of boys use to tease, comment on your hair, dress it was so difficult that I literally had stopped going to college., not only this some boys use to follow till house, giving blank calls late night, keeping bunch of flowers outside the door, bursting crackers and what not, but we didn't had a sense of fighting against it neither we had a guts to share with parents, as we had a fear that they will stop sending us to schools and colleges.

Yes, it happened with one of my friends when her brother saw her talking to a unknown boy and her parents stopped her sending to school, somehow my parents and I decided to go to her house and convinced her parents, assuring them that it was not her fault, they agreed to it but later on after her 10 the std I came to know that she got married to a boy who was so elder to her...

I am happy now atleast this generation girl's have that freedom, they are safe, secure in the city, small things are also assured are in control, as they only give rise to big things...the immediate actions, the control and the people who are working, are not less then a Guardian to each and every girl in the city!!!

Thankyou is not the word which can be expressed but hope this initiative brings a big change in the society spreading awareness to the boys that what they are doing is wrong and each girl has to be respected even if she is unknown...

Hope this initiative will be a role model for other cities too..
