Myth or Karma's Fate

Always full of life ....

 

This is a story of a woman, a woman named Smiley!!!!

 

As was her name, so was her nature.

 

She was full of love and loves the spicy nature of her to keep her lively.

 

You would always find a big mesmerized smile on her face whatever be the situation and she used to come out and win over her troubles with her positiviness and pragmatism, which were her strengths.

 

Although she was actually 32 years young, but was sweet 16 as per her nature. She used to live in a family of five members having father-in-law, mother-in-law, husband and an adorable baby boy of 2 years named Riyan.

 

It was a perfect family who used to live together in high and lows in their life.

 

Though there was some generation gap discussions, but those discussions never made them cross their limits and family values.

 

Smiley was very fond of kids.

She had always dreamt of having four kids playing in a big garden of house and she playing and running behind them like a big sister and enjoying every millisecond of her life.

 

As Riyan turned two, she showed her feeling to have another child to her husband. 

Her husband was very supportive and agreed to have their second child.

 

This time Smiley wanted to be blessed with an angel. Whenever she used to go to shopping for Riyan, she used to miss to buy those fancy accessories of girls and wished to have a baby girl as well. She was always fantasized by girls dresses and their accessories. And this was the time when her this dream was going to be true.

 

She was very happy and excited. Smiley and her husband visited the doctor the very next day. She showed her wish to doctor as well to be blessed with a baby girl this time. Though, as per doctor, there was no way medically to fulfill her wish. The doctor suggested her to wish for a healthy child, rather than wishing for a girl child.

 

But, her mind was stuck on the wish for a baby girl.

 

The doctor has put her on some medication for 3 months as she had thyroid problem. The doctor didn't wanted to have impact of it on child and even Smiley not facing any issues on her during the pregnancy.

 

Both Smiley and her husband left from doctors clinic happily. On their way back to home, they celebrated the evening with Toss of Red Wine and Italian cuisine and hope that very soon they will be proud parents of another child and Riyan will be big brother too.

 

The very next morning, on coffee table,

she told her in-laws that they are planning to have a second baby and they met doctor yesterday for the same.

Listening to this, her in-laws were very happy and excited.

She told about her medication for 3 months and food restrictions she has to follow for 3 months for preparing her body for pregnancy. Her mother-in-law took good care of Smiley and used to make sure that she takes all that was prescribed by a doctor. And her father-in-law used to spend more time with Riyan so that Smiley is not over-stressed and over burdened.

 

Everyone in the family was taking very good care of Smiley and trying to give her a blooming environment.

She even use to do meditation and restricting her food as per doctors suggestions.

Positive afforts were coming from all to fulfill her wish for a second baby.

 

Three months passed very quickly and she went to see doctor again. Some blood tests were done and doctor was happy to see the range of her thyroid. She was perfectly fine to go for her second baby.

Happily she came home and gave the news to her family members.

 

Her in-laws believed a lot in their Priest and horoscope. After Smiley was given go ahead from doctor for trial of second baby, her mother-in-law called their family Priest. Though, Smiley didn't believe much in horoscope, but she sat with Priest for her family's happiness. Priest looked at the hand and horoscope of Smiley and her husband. His face expressions could tell that he was not happy to hear that Smiley is planning for second child.

Reading their horoscope for some time, with low volume, the priest told that they will never have another child. Smiley horoscope is just having one child.

Listening to this, Smiley was shocked and even annoyed. Her voice raised and she starting arguing with the priest that how is it possible as she just consulted doctor and everything is totally fine and normal with her to have second child. 

But, priest stuck to her statement.

 

Her in-laws were faddist. They did had strong belief in whatever their priest used to tell them.

 

They believed in their priests words and told their son and Smiley that they should leave the hope to be blessed with second child. Slowly and slowly her in-laws stopped the extra care which they were giving her to have second baby. Even her husband followed the priest statement and stopped showing interest in Smiley wish.

 

She tried a lot influencing all, especially her husband that there is nothing as horoscope and noone can tell anyone's fate. Let them atleast try, if successful they will have their second child, but if not they will continue their life happily as before. Atleast they will not have regrets that they didn't even try. But, noone was ready to listen to her statements as for all of them the words of priest can never be questioned and can never turn wrong. She tried to influence her husband a lot, but all in vein.

 

Smiley, who was dreaming of her second baby every day for past three months; suddenly was shattered and shacked out. She was not able to believe that just because of one statement of the priest her dreams were not even given the wings to fly.

 

For her not having a second child was not that shocking and painful as was her husband changed behaviour and him stop trying even to have baby after the Priest's statement.

 

It was hard for her to accept that for the person whom she believed so much and never questioned his decision big or small, whose happiness was much more for her than her own happiness, whose dreams have become her dreams and she has spent every peny, every millisecond to make his dreams come true, the person for whom she had always stood besides supporting his all decisions whatever the situation was, the person for whom she left all her likes and dislikes, her friends, her family; that person, her husband was even not ready to do something for her happiness and thats just because of so strong belief in horoscope and myths. 

 

She was not accepting that her family believed so much in the Priests statement that they never thought of her happiness.

 

This incident changed the whole life of Smiley. Her smile turned into frowns and her love into irritation. Whenever she used to see Riyan playing alone in garden, she was reminded about her dream of having second baby and her heart used to cry.

 

It's been forty years from that tragic incident. Smiley is 72 years now. 

 

Today even, when she sees her grand children playing in garden, she asks her soul a question, that whether it was the Priest whose statement couldn't let her have a second child or her husband's loss of interest in her to have second child or her fate not to have second child. 

This question arises everyday in her mind and remains unanswered everyday .....

Still at this age, she wished that she could have another child, she could have a chilhood companion for Riyan for the life!!!

 

It's still unanswered that who won, the Myth or her Karma's fate; but who so ever won; as per her, she still is incomplete even at the age of 72 !!!!!!!
