The memories to cherish throughout your life

The memories which keeps you alive

The memories which brings smile on your face

The memories of your innocence

The memories of your childhood .... Ahh ... the best days of my life !!!!!

Summer as such was so pricky, I used to hate it. But, still whole year, I used to wait eagerly for summer vacations. It was the best time of the whole year. It was the time when I used to go to my grand parents village. Every summer was the time when we used to go to our grand parents house.

It was the time when I used to meet all my uncles and auntys and my cousins. The whole house which used to be silent the whole year, used to cherish for this one month of summer.

I was seven and it was time for summer vacation. We all were so excited. My mother was busy buying gifts for all and dad was busy wrapping his office work.

And I was busy telling my grand parents house fun and stories to my friends ...

It was late afternoon and we boarded the train. It was a journey of 18 hours. But, the wait for that 18 hours was like an year, an year I had waited for summer vacations to come. After every hour, I used to ask my mom if the station has come. I was knowing that we will reach next morning, but still the excitement used to keep me asking the same question again and again from my mother. It was night, we had dinner and laid down. After every fifteen minutes, I used to wake up and see if its morning. Although the destination station was last stop of the train, but still I never wanted to miss the station. The whole night went me peeping outside the train window and waiting for morning to come.

Finally, the morning came and so did our station. The train stopped. Suddenly, I could hear so much of noise coming from one side of the seat. I looked up, there were my uncles who had come to pick us up from station. They all hugged my father and took me in their lap.

We all sat in a big car and reached grandparents house.

Ahhh!!!! Such a greeting ... how can someone forget so much of love and affection!!!!

We entered the house with Prayers and rituals performed by my grandmother.

The day started with delicious breakfast and a big glass of pure milk.

The house was full of people. It would be difficult to say whether kids playing sound was more or ladies of the house chatting sound was more !!!!

The evening was a bliss with walk in farms. So much of fresh air, so much of natural sounds. Soon the moon waved hello in the sky and it was night. After having dinner, all kids sat to listen to the grandmother's night stories. This was the time I liked most. Listening to grandmother's stories, her expressions, her lessons from the stories and her love which made all kids of the family sit together and understand the real meaning of family and being united.

The days went and so did a month ended. The vacations came to an end. It was the most difficult time when I had to say good bye to my extended family. We all had to say bye with a heart filled of sorrow. But, the words of my Grand father that you will come back again next summer when you will go back this time, kept the enthusiasm live in us.

We used to be back to our city with the dreams of meeting again next vacation.

This was the best time I ever had in my life which was full of love, affection and preaching.

I was blessed to have spent such beautiful time and its a bliss to remember all those memories.

Today, whenever I see the sky, I could feel my grandparents blessing me from heaven above and all those childhood memories refreshing through my mind bringing an everlasting smile on my face touching deep inside my soul !!!!
