My Dad's Doll

From my childhood, my dad's been my inspiration...

Because he loved me without any condition...

He always inspired me to do my best that I could

And that's how I started liking my livelihood!!!

Whether I'm wrong or right, he was always on my side...

That's how I learned to pass all the life's tide...

With pain in his heart and smile on his face

He had to bid me goodbye so that I could enjoy my married phase...

Immersed in my own life of marriage and kids and chores a ton...

Calls were cut down from many to almost none ...

My dad stopped expecting the calls from me

As he knew that he had to detach himself from me...

So that I could be stronger and happier without him

But alas I couldn't notice that as I was always on life's brim...

Slowly and steadily my dad drifted away from his doll...

Unnoticed by his doll, which played a huge toll ...

Months passed by... there were no calls from his doll

Dad heaved a sigh and bid goodbye to his doll!!

Doll's still searching for her dad, amidst tears, but can't make a phone call...
