Mowgli- Jungle Book

An unforgettable cartoon character indeed even for me and to my students as well. 

I was teaching in school those days , both to primary and secondary class students . But my favourite was teaching to students of primary class i.e. upto 5th class students. As the burden of studies is less , but more than that was interacting with those small children. Innocent children , who talk truth .very few of them were mischievous but I found that such children were good at extra curricular activities.

And in our school we used to take one class in a week , either on Monday or Thursday , just as interaction session for primary class students. We used to discuss on many subjects related to their interest and their overall development as students used to participate enthusiastically .That day I was taking. one of such class. 

 The subject was how much time children watch TV . And which programs they are allowed to watch by their parents . The interaction and feedback from students was quite interesting. And at their age watching cartoons and related programs , series was common and allowed by all parents , which is obvious. So when it came to cartoons and their characters , many talked about Mowgli- of jungle book and even I was thrilled to hear from them as it was my favourite cartoon character too , when I was studying.

Everyone described " Mowgli " and the famous title song they sang " jungle jungle Pata Chala Hai......" . For them Mowgli was just like one of them. Jungle , rivers , trees , various animals all this is liked by all and by children too. Nature and the way all animals used to become means of travel for Mowgli from one place to another was so amazing to watch for them.

And We often say there are cruel and scary fearful animals stay in jungle but by watching the relationship of Mowgli with them and that ease with which it was animated and picturised used to make them think that how lucky this character was that all were ready to help him, and the way he used to jump from trees by catching branches . 

How All animals were cooperative and used to understand him , help him get water and fruits to eat . A small little Mowgli was fearless with them . And his appearance , look and wearing just one piece of cloth just like people from jungle , everything was just amazing. All students were talking about Mowgli .

And the best thing was that this cartoon series was not having any show business. No lavish cloths , no luxuries , and no palaces or prince and princess which is mostly shown in cartoon series . So all rich, poor all kids used to relate themselves with Mowgli , a simple character. And so much real and lively it used to feel . The voice of their conversation and sound was also too good .

Each and every student was very happy that day to discuss, talk , converse and participate in the discussion of their favourite cartoon character " Mowgli " . and by seeing their enthusiasm and smiling face , I too was very happy . And while going home I too was thinking about those days when we used to sit in front of TV and enjoy watching it.
