“Bye mom!!” Mac said, hurriedly going out of the door. “Wait for me! I have to drop Katie!” his mother replied. Mac groaned. He looked at his watch. Five minutes to eight. He was late for school.

Mac was in 2nd Grade. He used to love reading books. That’s why he had a lot of books. But there was something special about his books. When he was not present in the house, they all used to come to life.

The current topic of discussion among the books was of an iPad which Mac’s aunt had gifted him a day before.

In the evening, Mac came home after school while mom was off to market. He kept his bag on the table and took a seat on his dining table, grabbed his iPad and was trying to get past the settings. Mac snorted when the infuriating settings were popping up again and again. In that whole process the iPad got locked from Mac. He was very angry and depressed at the same time. He fell asleep while sitting on the chair. While he slept, one of his tech-book with the help of a bunch of human looking dolls tried all the combinations it knew to unlock the iPad.

Suddenly, the doorbell rang, and Mac got a jolt from his stress nap. He opened the door, mom was back from market. He knew Mom would be cross with his carelessness. Before narrating the whole story to mom Mac was checking his iPad just when he started staring at it. It had opened up! There was no need for him to put any code as the phone had opened up automatically. Mac breathed a sigh of relief and hugged mom very tight. During that time, in a shelf, the tech-book was glowing with pride.

Mac didn’t know that his books were the finest in the world after all; he treated them in that way; with immense love, respect and care!!!
