They are an ideal couple who roams in the university holding hands, sharing foodstuff, sipping tea from the same cup, and obviously sit side by side in the classroom. It is evident that in the coming years they will take this relationship a step further and make a family together. They look so stunning together, that every onlooker blesses them and hopes for their eternal unity.

Five years later, news in the electronic media captures everyone’s attention. A lady has stabbed her lover so brutally that he dies instantly, and she is sentenced to ten years of rigorous imprisonment. What a shock! The lady and the lover are none other than a famous couple of the university. It is hard to believe how adverse time can be! How fast love turns into enmity! One of their common friends visits Sunita in the cell to know the reason behind it.

Sunita is asked what has led her to commit the heinous crime. She first refuses to disclose the reason but then to show the real face of her lover, she decides to speak up. She narrates how she has been a blind believer in love. Srijan promises her to remain loyal forever, he shows her proof of his loyalty every now and then and makes her believe that he is his soulmate. She trusts him and is ready to go to any limit for his happiness.

One night she gets an anonymous call from a lady. She is informed that her man is a wolf in disguise as a human being. To know the truth, a location detail is shared. She hesitates to spy on him but doubt is already created and this has to be resolved. With the permission of her parents, she reaches the spot. It’s an old dilapidated building. She is scared; but to check the authenticity of that information, she steps ahead.

There are few residents living in that building. Srijan has never told her about his actual house. He has always invited her to a rented flat which is in a posh area of the city. It is almost 10 p.m. and so the corridor is vacant. She climbs to the third floor where Srijan resides. Oh my God! From an open window, she sees that Srijan is teaching a small girl and a lady is sitting beside him so closely as if he knows her so well. After a minute the girl addresses him as Papa. The lady kisses both of them and goes inside the kitchen.

Sunita is in deep shock. Her so-called loyal boyfriend is not only married but a father of a six years old daughter. He has smartly hidden his marriage from her as well as his university friends. Sunita feels ashamed of being linked to a married man. She now understands why he ignores her requests to tie the nuptial knot by giving an excuse that he has many dreams to fulfill. He needs to get settled so that they both can live luxurious life.

Srijan is a small-town boy. During his college time, he has married his childhood sweetheart and then moves to a metro city for attaining a master's degree. At the university, he falls in love with Sunita. His wife, a simple village girl, is staying with her in-laws in the town and has never visited the city during his university days. Sunita trusts him so much that he manipulates her easily. Many a time he visits his hometown, and Sunita thinks he is out of the city for some urgent work. This is how he can happily manage both the ladies.

Sunita feels to barge into the flat and asks for an explanation. However, it is always better not to take decisions when someone is angry. She clicks pictures of the happy family and leaves the vicinity. At home, she redials the number to know about the caller, her intention, and to thank her to open her eyes. The phone is picked by the lady and she gladly accepts her thanks. They decide to meet the next day in a coffee shop. In the café, Sunita has been waiting for the lady eagerly.

When the much-awaited person arrives, Sunita is numbed. That caller is Srijan’s wife. She is under impression that her relationship with a sharp-minded Srijan is unknown to Sunita. Sunita too prefers not to express that she knows who the lady is. She deliberately hides the fact that she has personally witnessed Srijan’s infidelity. They begin chatting formally. Sunita asks how she knows about her. She replies that she is close to Srijan who she also loves, and one day has noticed Sunita’s picture in his cupboard.

Sunita asks about her relationship with Srijan. The lady looks into her eyes deeply. Sunita can visualize the deep pain of her heart reflected in her eyes. How torturous it is to face a lady who is a mistress of her husband! She introduces herself as the mother of Srijan’s daughter. Sunita plainly asks why she has decided to help her. The lady replies that she wants to make her known as the real face of Srijan. Sunita asks what to do next. The lady advises her to leave that traitor. Sunita agrees. The lady smiles and leaves.

At home, Sunita calls Srijan. Unknown to the latest development, he talks normally to her and updates his future plans without mentioning life with Sunita as if in his future there is no place for her. He says about his career growth, the possibility to go abroad, and a dream to buy his own big house. Sunita poses a question if they can marry within a week as it is difficult for her to stay without him. He shows happiness thinking Sunita is completely under his control, absolutely trapped in his love net, but then turns the topic.

Sunita pressurizes him. She is adamant to fix a date. Actually, she wishes to provoke him badly so that his real face can be seen. He invites her to a secluded place to discuss the matter amicably. It is 8 p.m. when she meets him. They have fiery arguments there and instead of talking about marriage, he attempts to kill her. In a fierce fight, she saves herself by killing the demon. The court has sympathy with her but the killer has to be punished.

In the cell, she is brooding over her life which has no future because of a double standard person. What is her fault? She loves someone, decides to live life happily with him and in return she gets nothing. She is not a guilty soul. She feels content that Srijan has received what he deserves - a brutal end. She has none but her own self with whom she chats in the single-occupant cell. A dark secret of Sunita’s life will never be revealed that she has planned his murder with his wife in advance and a hard blow by the wife has killed him.

Being a single lady, Sunita takes the blame on her. Srijan’s wife returns to the town with her daughter, waiting for Sunita’s release as she worships her for the sacrifice she has done for the bright future of her daughter. Both the women refuse to be victims of love and instead of suffering lifelong, they punish the real culprit.
