Life is a flow of situations we all know ... A young man,'Ajay' lived in the outskirts of Mumbai. Very sincere, shy and lonely person he was... Once as Ajay was busy in his office, a few people joined newly to his office, they came to Ajay and greeted him and started their work. Ajay found himself wanting to speak to them and making friends and opening up a bit, he waited for them to call him for lunch and wanted to speak with them.

After office hours as Ajay was leaving for home, he came across the new joinees and spoke to them again for a while and said we can sit on a bench in this garden just in front of the office. They all sat for a while and introduced each other. Ajay felt very good about this, it was the first time he went home humming a song all to himself. That day he cooked himself a good meal and sat happily watching the TV. He said to himself, 'friends make the whole life very different, what should I do next?'  and went to bed.

The next day at the office lunch hours, he offered his tiffin box to all his friends. They all loved his food and became friends. Ajay's happiness knew no bounds, this was the first time in his life that people spoke to him and he interacted so confidently.

Days passed by, he got close to them and began going out and enjoying with them. One day at the office, he received a note saying you are promoted and transferred to a remote place in Assam. He was almost in tears but was again shy to say that he did not want to part away from his friend, what would he do! Poor Ajay went home, as usual, sat at the window and said to himself: 'I have to support my parents and I can't say no to a promotion, which is a fortune to me.' He quietly packed his backpack and went to the office to take leave of his friends. All of them gave him a good farewell party and wished him good luck.

Ajay left for Assam and there he was lonely again. There in his office, not many people got friendly with him or people just spoke to him casually. He was all alone again. He would only work hard all day and get back to his home. He missed all his friends badly and wept again.

A few months passed and one day, a girl, pretty and fair, joined his office. She just came to Ajay and asked him if there are any good paying-guest accommodation and requested to guide her. Ajay guided her and she settled in Assam with Ajay's help. She used to speak to Ajay and ask for help in her office work. Again slowly Ajay thought this girl can be his friend and really helped her with almost everything she would ask for. The girl used to bring lunch and share with Ajay and they used to sit and speak for a long time as they spent time happily in the office and enjoyed the work.

A few more months passed and Ajay was happy again, and until one day, the girl came to the office and handed over her wedding card to each one of them. Ajay broke into pieces again. After losing this friend he said to himself, 'should I ever make friends or remain lonely in life??' He went back home, slammed the door and went to bed.

The next day, he went to the office and put all the attention only into work. He hardly spoke to anyone and got busy with his work. He would walk down the street on weekends and learnt to stay alone till one day his parents came to stay with him. His joy knew no bounds once again as he never thought his parents would leave their home in the village and come to Assam all the way. He hugged them, cried out and made them stay with him. They agreed readily, they said they would not go back leaving him alone.

Then one day, the mother called him and said, "it's time for you to settle now. I have got photos of some good pretty girls for you. You can select whichever you like, I will talk to them and fix your marriage." Ajay just thought this was the only way left to get a partner and life, just then he selected after looking at all the photos, one girl who looks innocent and lovely. He said, "Mom, I would like to marry her" and so he got married to the girl. He was happy again.

One day, all his family members decided to go on a trip. They all went to a beautiful mountain place and enjoyed a lot. While playing, they collected many nice things to remember the good time spent together. As they were returning home, their car met with an accident and luckily Ajay was not hurt, while, he lost all the other family members!! Ajay just gave up his thought of being happy. He returned home alone lonely, sad and broken. He said to himself, 'was I a less Lonely before or more lonely now, if only I would have not put my unlucky shadow on everyone I met in my life...' He lived lonely all his life ever after...
