“While investigating the murder of a young boy, a delusional cop and his ardent assistant must connect the missing dots to uncover a heinous world of crime, built by a ruthless bloody queen.”
The story begins with the dead body of a young boy, found inside the trunk of a BMW car, parked at the basement of a posh apartment of Mumbai suburb. The owner of the car discovers the body and calls police. ACP ARJUN (42) and Inspector HRISHITA (30) start the investigation.
ARJUN is surprised to see the body. He claims that he had met this boy last night around 2 am near Juhu. The boy was not able to speak. ARJUN met him on the street and gave him lift to drop home. But he stopped to buy medicines when the boy disappeared mysteriously, leaving behind a unique pencil drawing of JESUS in ARJUN’s car.
Identity of the boy is found through a missing diary reported 2 days back at Borivilli PS. The deceased boy’s name is AMAN DESHPANDE (14).
Police informs AMAN’s family. AMAN’s father, mother and elder sister break down in grief. AMAN was exceptionally bright in studies and an excellent football player. But unfortunately, he was mute by birth. He disappeared from his school couple of days back.
ARJUN visits his school and interrogates concerned persons. There he comes to know about a notorious boy GOVIND (17) who used to bully AMAN repeatedly. ARJUN picks GOVIND up for interrogation.
HRISHITA simultaneously carries the investigation on. VIPIN MALHOTRA (48), the owner of the BMW car where AMAN’s polythene wrapped body was found, says he parked his car at the basement around 11 pm last night. His driver MANOJ unloaded things from the dickey and it was empty at that time.
VIPIN’s only son is admitted in hospital and he came back to his apartment from there. His wife TARA was still there with their son. VIPIN was supposed to visit the hospital again in the morning. Co-incidentally his driver MANOJ (33) had a serious accident that night while going back home and got admitted in ICU. So, VIPIN had to drive himself in the morning to the hospital. He came to the parking in the morning and discovered the body in his dickey.
HRISHITA checks the CCTV which supports VIPIN’s statement and also shows that no one entered into the parking after VIPIN’s car was parked.
The initial forensic medical report suggests the time of death is somewhere between 9 pm to 3 am and the cause is heart failure due to excessive blood loss from a deep wound on AMAN’s left hand.
ARJUN and HRISHITA become clueless. How did a 14-year-old mute boy vanish in day light? Where was he for two days? How he reached to Juhu at midnight? What was he doing there? Where did he go from ARJUN’s car? Who brutally killed this speechless innocent boy and for what? And how did his body reached to a car which was parked at Bandra?
So many answers they need to find!
ARJUN keeps forcing GOVIND to bring out the truth. GOVIND ultimately admits that he locked AMAN in a store room of the school on that day, but he did not kill him. ARJUN loses his control and hits GOVIND badly. He has to be hospitalized. As GOVIND is still a minor and he was not arrested procedurally, the issue becomes critical. ARJUN has some past records of losing his temper and creating mess. This time the issue goes out of control and he gets suspended.
HRISHITA takes over the investigation. She re-analyses the CCTV footages of the basement and finds a shocking truth. An image on a rear-view mirror in the footage shows AMAN’s body was already there in the dickey, at 11 pm, when MANOJ opened it and intentionally overlooked it. But this fact disapproves ARJUN’s statement that he met AMAN at 2 am.
HRISHITA’s friend DARSHAN (39, Psychologist) explains that ARJUN actually did not meet AMAN but somehow made up the entire episode imagining from his subconscious, as a consequence of chronic depression. Otherwise, he might had met another similar boy with whom he is mixing up AMAN.
ARJUN has a traumatic personal life. He had lost his 7 months pregnant wife CHANDNI in a bomb blast couple of years ago. His mental status remains unstable after this. He often encounters sudden black outs as well.
Now he lives with his 10 years old daughter ROSHNI.
After the footage is revealed, MANOJ becomes the prime suspect. HRISHITA tracks MANOJ’s call details and finds a number regularly in touch with him, even on the incident’s night. HRISHITA chases to the registered address but finds the owner of the number has died 6 months ago. His name was LAXMAN (33). He was working in an NGO called Holy Cross.
The detailed autopsy report of AMAN reveals another shocking fact. The cause of death is definitely blood loss but it did not happen through the wound; rather the cut has been made after AMAN’s death to cover up the actual reason!
ARJUN, though dismissed from the case, can’t stop himself hunting for the truth.
After AMAN’s death, ARJUN often sees AMAN in a particular dream. Another little boy is there in the dream with AMAN. Both of them are playing football. AMAN kicks the ball; it goes beyond a wall. The wall is yellow coloured and a Red Sun is drawn on it. AMAN is trying to climb the wall to get the ball back, but falling again and again. Suddenly someone throws the ball from the other side of the wall.
And he wakes up every time at this point of his dream.
The other little boy playing with AMAN seems known to ARJUN.
But he is unable to recognise him. Finally, he identifies him. It’s ALOK MALHOTRA, son of VIPIN MALHOTRA (owner of that BMW).
ARJUN tries to establish the connection between these two boys. AMAN’s body was found in ALOK’s father’s car. Apart from that, there is nothing common between them. He visits the hospital where ALOK was admitted. He collects some basic details about the boy. ARJUN finds out a specific similarity between AMAN and ALOK.
They both share a rare blood group type.
ARJUN visits VIPIN’s place and comes to know that ALOK died last night. He was suffering from Thalassemia since birth. ARJUN sympathizes with VIPIN’s family. He asks if ALOK and AMAN had any connection. VIPIN denies. But TARA (37, Teacher), VIPIN’s wife, ultimately reveals the truth.
ALOK needed frequent blood transfusion. He had a rare blood type and many times VIPIN had to purchase blood from black market. Last day, when he purchased blood for ALOK, was the day AMAN died. An ambulance driver and agent named NAKUL (35) coordinated the deals. VIPIN saw AMAN inside NAKUL’s ambulance on that morning when he purchased the blood pouches from NAKUL. He was alive at that time.
MUKESH’s condition improves. Doctor calls Hrishita. She rushes to the hospital but finds Mukesh dead as someone has cut his oxygen supply few minutes ago!
Now, after two suspects linked with the same NGO, HRISHITA visits Holy Cross and finds the Ambulance that Nakul used to drive. There she finds a unique JESUS sticker on the inner side of doors of the ambulance. HRISHITA remembers that she has seen this typical sketch of JESUS in ARJUN’s car. According to ARJUN, it was made by AMAN on that night!
Hrishita finds out that NAKUL and LAXMAN, both knew each other. They both were referred for the job by a nurse named SANDHYA KAMAT (40). HRISHITA takes the details of SANDHYA.
ARJUN meets HRISHITA and both shares their investigations with each other.
ARJUN recognizes the photo of SANDHYA. This lady is working in
AMAN’s school as an attendant and she is the one who misled ARJUN towards GOVIND.
SANDHYA was an un-trained nurse in a small-town Nursing Home 15 years ago. Her greed, cleverness, and ruthlessness eventually made her the bloody queen of a dark and sinful nexus, growing like a cancer in the medical world.
They try to catch SANDHYA but she disappears without leaving any traces.
Being completely clueless about NAKUL and SANDHYA, ARJUN again goes to the place where he met AMAN that night. He still believes that AMAN, even after death, wants to tell him something.
ARJUN interrogates some of the street dwellers who used to sleep there. One of them, HANIF (16) recognizes AMAN’s photo.
HANIF says his story. He is an orphan, grown up on the streets. All of them are part of a beggars’ network. Somehow, they manage their food to survive. One day a man came and asked if they want to earn big money. He took their blood samples and said if any one of them is lucky then he will earn thousands. He returned after a day and selected HANIF only. He explained HANIF that he just has to give his blood in a regular interval. In return he will get Rs. 500 every time. HANIF agreed. The man used to collect his blood in his ambulance only.
Few days back, that man took HANIF to a place, where many people were sedated and chained for blood extraction. HANIF met AMAN at that place. They spend that night together and developed friendship. Next morning HANIF was shifted back to his place.
ARJUN and HRISHITA find out the Blood Farming nexus with the help of HANIF. NAKUL gets arrested. He says the truth. They have been running this heinous blood sucking business for five years.
They target poor people with rare blood type and involve them into selling their blood at a nominal price. Initially they do it voluntarily for money but later if they want to go out then they are caged and forced to give blood. They maintain a network across the hospitals and approach rich patient relatives who are in terrible need for blood. Blood banks are often failed to supply blood on time and they take advantage of the situation. They charge big amount to the patient party and supply cross matched blood. Many doctors, officers and powerful peoples are the stakeholder of this business. SANDHYA is the kingpin of the network.
SANDHYA knew about AMAN’s blood group and she was targeting him since few weeks. On that day, when GOVIND locked AMAN in the storeroom, SANDHYA tactfully kidnapped AMAN. He was taken to their underground place. Their plan was to extract a couple of units of blood from unconscious AMAN and then drop him somewhere near school. Meanwhile SANDHYA got the offer of VIPIN and took out excessive blood. Thus, AMAN died inside the ambulance.
NAKUL and MUKESH were friends and MUKESH introduced VIPIN to NAKUL. After the accidental death of AMAN, MUKESH and NAKUL had to hide his body. They couldn’t find any place and kept the body inside VIPIN’s car. They had a plan to discard the body somewhere far next morning, but MUKESH had an accident that night. Hence the plan failed. In the morning, VIPIN found AMAN’s body and the entire episode came out.
SANDHYA becomes furious after her brick by brick made business is busted by ARJUN. She decides to take revenge. She kidnaps ROSHNI.
Sandhya surrenders to Arjun and asks him to give her a clean chit; else he would never find where Roshni is. Arjun denies the deal. Sandhya accidentally dies after a dramatic clash, without disclosing Roshni’s whereabouts. ARJUN desperately looks for his daughter everywhere but couldn’t find her.
Exhausted and defeated ARJUN gets a call from HRISHITA who informs that SANDHYA’s car has been spotted on a traffic CCTV in this morning. ROSHNI is visible reclined on the backseat of that car.
ARJUN notes the location and drives fast towards the way SANDHYA went that morning with ROSHNI.
ARJUN blacks out during drive and hits a lamp-post. He tries to reverse his car to the main road when he notices something through a narrow dead lane. It’s an old warehouse at end of the lane. The wall of the house is visible. It’s yellow coloured and a red sun is drawn on it. That seems like a local sporting club’s logo. ARJUN has seen this wall many times, since past few weeks in his dreams.
ARJUN breaks into the place and finally finds ROSHNI, locked inside a room, still alive.
After few days, AMAN’s father and elder sister visit ARJUN to thank him for punishing the culprits. AMAN’s sister ASTHA (19) sees the photo of CHANDNI and gets shocked.
ASTHA says she and AMAN both knew CHANDNI. They were travelling in the same bus, sitting together. Three of them became friendly during the journey. CHANDNI was pregnant. ASTHA asked her about her husband. CHANDNI told them about ARJUN and his stories of honesty and bravery as a police officer. She showed his photo to them. AMAN wished to meet him someday. After some time, the bus stopped at a place. CHANDNI was feeling thirsty. She requested ASTHA to get a bottle of water for her. AMAN also followed ASTHA to the shop over the road.
The bus exploded in front of them. AMAN and ASTHA would have died that day if CHANDNI wouldn’t have sent them out.
ARJUN Finally gets his answer- why AMAN chose him. It was his debt that he paid back, even after his death!
He never sees AMAN again in his dreams.
