Guys Who Cry!

He fell down hurting his knee. The pain was unbearable and tear rushed out of his eyes.

Listening to the noise, his mother rushed to him. Seeing him sitting on the ground with a wounded knee and in tears, his mother made him stand and said "Don't cry. Boys don't cry" . As a little baby , he was taught  "Listen to your mother, she is always right. ". The only thing he got out of this is even though it hurts, he can't cry.

He grew up. One day, at home when he returned from the school, he saw his mother being scolded by his father using harsh words, treating her like shit. His mother is in tears and some marks on her hand. He was behind the curtain watching all this terrified. Later when he asked his mother why don't she answers back to his father. She said "We are not allowed to. He is my husband and I can't disobey him. I am entitled to be with him". That day he learnt Men are powerful and however they treat women, it is acceptable.

Growing up, he saw his mother doing all household works, his sister helping her with it.

His father doesn't even fetch a glass of water for himself, just has to scream for water while watching television & his mother rushes with the glass. He himself never used to do anything. He is favored more than his sister.There he learnt, men are superior and they won't do any work at home as they are supposed to earn. Women are only meant for the daily household chores, to listen & obey the men like thats the reason they were born for.

He grew up and started working. He met a girl, fell in love. And that girl left him behind. He was broke but yet couldn't cry. He tried hard but the eyes had the signal to shed tears as the heartaches. He thought to himself "I am weak."

He locked himself in the bathroom and cried like hell. He couldn't get what wrong he did. Why the girl he loved so much left him like this. All he did was scream at the girl which as not wrong as men can treat the women as his dad did to his mom. He couldn't get where he went wrong.

Sooner or later, he got  got married to a beautiful girl he met at a cafe near his office.

One day, she asked him to help with the chores, he was aware he wasn't meant for that..He has to earn and she has to do the chores. They fought and ended up in a divorce.

This all starts at home. The things a child sees and learns is mostly from the place he resides. The people, the surrounding, the thought process.

Men do cry. Men can cry. They have a heart. They have emotions. And its not sign of weakness, its a sign of empathy. Society giving these statements shows how weak they are.
