Goa Gurlies Gang !!!

Haven't you all heard about 7th heaven, 7 wonders of the world, 7 seas, 7 colors of the rainbow? Similarly, we 7 (G3 ) had an amazing bond on our first-ever trip to Goa. Nothing could stop us from fulfilling the dream to go on our girlie trip, not even the 4:30 a. m. return flight. As soon as we reached the airport in time, we got engrossed filling our empty tummy's with the delicious food served in the 'Thalis'. We only realized we were late for boarding when we heard the announcements calling out our names as the last call for boarding. We all ran like crazy to board the flight, but eventually, we made it, like 'Simran of DDLJ' managed to get into the train, except for the fact that 'Raj' did not help us, but we had to barge in ourselves. In about 45 mins we reached our much-awaited destination 'GOA'. We called for a taxi and hit the road, on the way we picked up drinks, and snacks & licked ice. Kings court welcomed us all and treated us like princesses. The never-ending laughter and giggle session began until we were warned by the hoteliers to reduce our volume as it disturbed other neighbours in our vicinity. We slept with happy hearts and were eager to wake up to new adventures the next morning. We woke up early the next morning with bright and enthusiastic faces ready in our skimpy clothes  (as we could take this liberty only in Goa to wear such clothes without being judged) and reached Calangute beach. We went for a boat ride and watched the Dolphins. After which we had our much-deserved complimentary breakfast at the hotel. We lazed a bit and back on our toes, all set to visit the church and other tourist spots. After much argument on who will drive the car, as usual, our Preeti won. Driving around Goa was like a dream come true, we were all super excited, and out came all the beverages, sipping the drinks and enjoying ourselves to the max. We reached the church and with our photography skills captured many beautiful pictures.  A hot sunny day topped with 7 hot girls made the whole environment so steamy! We didn't miss any chance to taste the street foods on the way. We had a scrumptious meal at the Ritz hotel and drove back with Manja in the driving seat. Our car was hit by 2 bikers who dashed into the (rented out)car and before we could realize the fact, the guys fled and left us in a shocked and depressed state. Our worry was A - We had to squander our precious time on repairing the car and B- we had to pay an unwanted expense for the repairs.

Nevertheless, after 3 hours we finally got the car repaired. Keeping our spirits high, we were back again in action and drove to Baga beach after a refreshing coffee break. Street Shopping was a stress buster. At Baga beach, we bought florescent bangles which were glowing in the dark. We got into one of the most happening shacks and danced to the melodious, Bollywood tunes. Our Rumzy was one of the best dancers who got us al

l elevated. None of us were in control of our emotions and did just what we wanted, like no man's business. We walked on the beach, ran in the water, and spoke our hearts out. We feasted over cheese chilly toasts, noodles n honey chilli potatoes. Manja and Anu were the highlights of the day. They left us with no choice but to enjoy all their tantrums. Around 2 a. m. we left the beach exhausted, dragging our tired feet to walk up to the car. To top it all, we had left the car without turning off the headlights and the result was the car battery died and the car wouldn't start. Once again, all of us were so frustrated that we had no choice but to wait anxiously for the driver to come to our rescue and start the car. At last, after the car started, we got back to the hotel room and slept peacefully after a long tiresome day (yet a day full of excitement) we slept in leisure.

The next morning, Manja woke us all at 7 a. m. and she made us laugh over the incidents of the previous day. With a light heart, we were ready again for the next day's happenings but with a little more caution. After breakfast, we got into our bikinis and swimwear and swam in the pool. The bartenders pampered us by serving cocktails and mocktails and they put on music for us. How could we miss out on our photo shoot(we felt like Kingfishers' calendar girls ) It was Jag's first time in a pool and she too enjoyed it thoroughly. After a swim, we got ready and left for a beachside Restobar- Thalassa. After which, we left for parasailing which was an adventurous sport and for most of us, it was our first experience. We had our hearts in our mouths until we finished our turn at parasailing. We took a lot of slow-motion and jumping videos on the beach and then headed to Baga beach. We stopped at Andrews shack for dinner accompanied by a relaxing foot reflexology. Our fatigued feet felt rejuvenated, only after which we could check out the discos at Mambo and Tito's. We didn't enjoy their discos as they were not as happening, as the ones in the shack on Baga Beach.

Finally, the time came when, with heavy hearts, we had to check out of the hotel rooms. None of us were prepared to leave Goa. After all the fun-loving adventures that we had in the past two days. As we drove towards the airport Pam realized that her cell phone went missing! Wow, one more adventure? But to her luck, someone had found it and called us from her phone and on the way, we picked up her phone and went to the airport. All of us were drowsy yet battled our sleep and caught the flight and made sure to be there early this time. 4:30 a. m. We boarded the flight and by 5:30 a. m. we were in Bangalore. Memories of Goa will never go from our hearts. To capture them forever I wanted to pen it and dedicate it to all my sweet loving G3 friends. Thank you my amazing friends for the 'Best of Goa" trip as I had the most incredible time in Goa with all of you.
