Gangster In Time Of Corona

Dear Diary George,

Often I hear people (including myself)criticize the human race for being selfish and destructive. Every day, we are a witness heart wrenching news and scenes such as a theft, rape and murder. As we read about these heartless acts, we in a way, develop hate in our hearts. We start judging others.

I heard a piece of news on the radio and then closed my eyes.'A group of people stand and discuss something maintaining social distancing all the while. Then, they ride their bikes and go to the supplier in the city which is a few kilometers from their village. After collecting supplies, they drive back to the place where had first met and make elaborate plans. Then they got back to their respective bikes and rode through alleys knocking the doors.

"Wow, you have brought this instead! God bless you son and Thanks a lot"

"Honestly, I didn't expect this from you. I was a little apprehensive of opening the door at first. Thank you Brother."

These were the kind of responses they received. After I had heard the news of gangsters changing their minds for good and deliver food to the needy in the villages, my eyes closed to imagine the scenario, which I have now described to you, George.Now, George, I guess that we both can prepare for a peaceful afternoon nap with the thought of the beautiful ear to ear smiles and glimmer in the eyes of the receivers of food, the parents of the gangsters and the gangsters themselves.
