Dear Diary George,

Today afternoon, I am glad that the summer sun is back! I can feel the heat. There are debates that hot weather might reduce the chances of infection which is caused by the virus which has taken the world by storm. George, I hope it does. I desperately wish that my classes begin. As I enjoy the sunlight, I have a feeling that everything is not right. I don't know why but I have a feeling that something is amiss. I have had two square meals and have finished all my chores. Coming to think of it, I now remember that I didn't receive my copy of the newspaper. Oh! That's awful. George, I hate it when I don't have the current bulletins of the news in my head. Some days back, newspapers were banned as they increased the risk of infection but soon, newspapers were processed in a perfect way so that they can reach our doorstep every morning.

Reading a newspaper should be an integral part of one's life if, one wants to be well informed and not misinformed. Newspaper reading is an age-old practice with benefits of its own. Firstly, newspapers are the source of the most authentic and accurate information. It keeps one well-informed of the happenings across the global world. It is also a perfect hobby to have as it helps to keep the brain sharp. It makes one think logically, form one's own perspective and extend arguments. The Sudoku and Crossword are mind fresheners. Reading a newspaper also enhances one's vocabulary. It teaches some important ways of life. It also helps one to remain well versed with the latest discoveries and world records.

Newspapers can be read by both kids and elders alike. A newspaper carries news for anyone and everyone. It is a habit that must be inculcated in kids at an early age. Once a kid starts reading the newspaper, he/she soon develops interest in reading and goes on to read and read a variety of things such as stories, poems, and novels. It's a fact that can't be denied that if a person doesn't read then that person is of only as much worth as is a bird without wings. Nowadays, the kids remain glued to electronic gadgets and that can take a toll on health. As I wait for my newspaper,(which shall greet me tomorrow hopefully)I remember the adage 'Old is Gold'..... Goodbye until now, George!
