Forgotten

Once I was someone's child, a son or daughter born into the world with hope and love. What were the causes and circumstances that put me here in this desolation and disparity? My dependency, my job loss, my mental illnesses, my bad luck? All relationships and family ties failed and no longer exist.

No address or shelter, no source of income, no guarantee of what the next day will bring. Will I be able to eat tomorrow? Will my sign that I hold out on the street attract anyone who is kind enough to offer me a meal or the change in their pocket? How will I pass this day with nowhere to go, is there anywhere that I can sleep tonight where I will feel safe? How the chain of events in life have reduced me to this hopeless state. Forgive my current predicament, forgive my appearance, forgive my boldness to ask you for any type of help or food. But please, "Do not let me be forgotten "
