Family ties : The Mother-Daughter Journey

This is a story of a adorable, generous and talented youngster named Raksha, who lived with her mother and loved her very much. Her mother was employed by a prominent conglomerate, earning a substantial income, but had to spend extended periods working on her laptop, resulting in her being less involved in her daughter's academic life. Raksha's mother adhered to a rigorous morning routine, waking up at 5 a.m to prepare breakfast, lunch and packed meals, before getting ready for herself, and escorting Raksha to school and reporting to the office. After school, Raksha would walk home with her neighbour's daughter, sharing lunch together and then engaged in academic activities, including homework and studing for test. For several years, Raksha's daily routine remained consistent, during which time she diligently pursued her academic goals, nurturing her ambition to become a medical professional.

 Following years of diligent effort, Raksha achieved remarkable success becoming an outstanding doctor and filling her mother with immense pride. Raksha's mother had formerly worked for the wealthy conglomerate before retiring.

One day, Raksha attended a interview for a doctor's position at a renowned hospital. Raksha's outstanding results secured her appointment at the hospital, garnering praise from her manager. During her tenure at the hospital, Raksha met her colleague, Rakesh, a deligent and compassionate doctor with a year of experience. They struck up a conversation and formed a close bond. Raksha rushed home to share the news to her mother, who was overjoyed by the announcement. 

As time passed, Rakesh continued to provide Raksha with daily commutes to and from her home, while she worked diligently Life went on, with Rakesh continuing to provide Raksha with daily transportation to and from her residence, as she excelled in her career and earned a substantial monthly income. Raksha's mother filled her days with cooking, reading and every evening she and Raksha would sit down together and enjoy a conversation. 

On occasions when Raksha's surgical duties extended into the late hours, Rakesh would escort her home before returning to his own residence. However, their frequent late night interactions, sparked rumors among the neighbours, who speculated that Raksha and Rakesh were romantically involved.

One day, a neighbour paid a visit to Raksha's mother, initiating a conversation about Raksha's alleged relationship with Rakesh. Raksha's mother took umbrage at the neighbours audacity and promptly asked them to leave her residence, feeling indignant and affronted. 

When Raksha arrived home, her mother cautioned her against associating with Rakesh, mistakenly believing they were romantically involved. Raksha attempted to clarify the nature of their relationship, but her mother remained unconvinced and irritated. 

Raksha would say to Rakesh to drop her near the park and then she would proceed to her house on foot. This routine became a daily occurrence. However, their discreet meetings were eventually, exposed by a neighbour, who promptly informed Raksha's mother. 

The revelation sparked a heated argument between Raksha and her mother, as Raksha struggling to convey her point of view, but her mother refused to listen.    

That day, they both fought and slept in different rooms. While sleeping every night Raksha's mother was thinking of Raksha's future and after a week she got a dream that her beloved daughter, Raksha, radiant in a red gown, exchanging vows with a man she didn't recognize, a sense of overwhelming joy and bittersweet pride washing over her in the dream.

Next morning, Raksha's mother began to wonder if her subconscious was simply reflecting her desire to see her daughter settled and happy, or if there was a deeper meaning to this dream.

The dream, though seemingly random, had inadvertently opened a door to a new conversation between mother and daughter. Raksha's mother's dream became a catalyst for Raksha to share her budding relationship, and in the following weeks, they discussed the future with a newfound openness.
