From Stage To Spotlight.

I woke up to a typical Monday Morning. The sun was beaming outside and even the birds were cheerfully chirping. I usually follow my routine work to get ready for school.
Later, I came to School and I hoped for a chill day with lots of enthusiasm. First few periods were flew by- the notes, homeworks, explanations and gossiping with my friends. 
Then, an announcement was done about the selections for being the captain of the school dance team. I headed to the dance room with my friends for the selections and I just hoped for myself to be selected. Our dance teacher thought us a new choreography which was very tricky but I nailed it and he announced some names including me with 4 other girls. It was a very tough situation for me where I wished to be selected among the other girls and I did my best for my performance. The dance teacher looked very strict with his choreography but funny with his behaviour.
 Finally it was the time where he wanted to select the right person who is fit to be a captain for the school dance team. My heart was racing faster and waiting for the time when results will be announced, then he called out my name and mentioned me as a captain. I couldn't believe it for a while when our dance teacher congragulated me, smiled and said "Time to own the stage, Lead the charge - captain! ". 
The day went on by congrats, high-fives and intense dance pratice. When I reached home, I broke out the good news and my parents were wild and congragulated me for this win in selections and said "It's time to take the win in your hands".
This ordinary day turned out to be a turning point in my life where I found my passion, gained confidence and made unforgettable memories of me selecting for the first time as a captain of the school dance team despite being a good dancer.
