~Ego Vs. Self-Respect~

Once upon a time self-respect and ego fell in love with each other and started living together. They took great care of each other and made sure that the affection never fades away. One day, ego disregarded self-respect and started to avoid it. Self-respect put all the efforts to retrieve the lost love but it turned out to be a vain attempt. No matter how hard self-respect would try but ego would always walk away without any appropriate reason. Ego found better things to do in life and wanted self-respect to stop bothering and annoying. But self-respect didn't give up and continued putting diligent efforts despite getting hurt. Self-respect started feeling out of love and found no other way to get back the warmth to the relationship. Ego was still oblivious of the discomforts which it had inflicted on self-respect by its behavior. All the happiness of self-respect was doomed and started crying. Despite the ignorance, self-respect tried once again to get the spark back in their relationship but this time ego's behavior hurt it more than ever.

One day, self-respect reached its saturation level and comprehended that the relationship has started to become one-sided. Self-respect started cherishing its dignity and walked out of the relationship. Ego was left behind all alone with nothing but a heavy heart. Ego tried to convince but self-respect understood the true essence of pride and self-esteem. The ego was deeply hurt and realized the mistake. Ego was reminded of all the amazing memories they had created together only after self-respect left. Thus, dignity became primary for self-respect and it knew that to stay happy it's better to walk away at the right time rather than waiting forever. This is how the ego failed to acknowledge the significance of self-respect' existence. 

Ego lost. Self-respect won.
