Day 1 (Revenge of nature)

Dear diary, 

Today was the first day of the 21 days lockdown all over the country due to the worldwide outbreak of Corona Virus/COVID - 19. When i first heard about the news yesterday, i went to panic mode too but i definitely didn't go on a rampage to buy groceries and other necessities. People forgot the whole concept of the lockdown and went out buying "necessities" ignoring the fact that they might be transmitting the virus. 

Today though i was a bit upset, thinking about all those who are not in the comfort of their homes. There are students who can't go home due to lack of transportation facilities and employees who are working for our safety. We can see the policemen on patrols near our societies. Doctors and other medical staff are trying their best to treat patients. And what are we giving them in return? Nothing. These people are serving in the first line of defense right now forgetting about their own families and comfort. 

We have all hurt mother earth in ways we can't apologize for and if we don't take this as a warning i don't know what else would make us change. This is the revenge of nature itself. Today, i pray for all those who are trying to make our lives better by fighting this monster called coronavirus. We should all stay at home, not just for ourselves but for those who are serving us as well. We should stop being selfish now.
