When my Fiancé and I started dating, we both knew we wanted a family. We would always talk about starting one but when the time was right. We finally got financially well where we felt confident enough to try for a baby. We tried for 2 months and it worked. We moved into a 2 story home and we eagerly were awaiting our son. 3 weeks before the due date my Fiancé's water broke. We were getting ready for bed and she said, "I peed the bed!" I started jumping up and down literally with excitement. My girl started to cry. She was scared to go into labor. She called her mom and her sisters and they all comforted her. The nurses said she was able to take a shower and head over to the hospital. My Fiancé is a very strong woman and she wanted to make sure not to use an epideral. So all night she was having contractions.

It was like the chicken and the egg. She would have a contraction start screaming and gripping the sides of the bed. Then she would pass out on her side. Awoken by another contraction two minutes later. All I could do was rub her back. She was even then worried about me telling me just to go to sleep rest my head. There was no way I was going to let her be alone. After four hours of the pass out game. Getting put on oxygen. Trying laughing gas and other substitutes for a pain recover they checked her dilation. Only 1cm! That's when she decided go get the epidural. Unfortunately my Fiancé has a pretty messed up back.

She's been in situations where she has been hit by a car or throw off a roof. So they had to call a specialist in to insert the epidural. They called me to hold her down by the shoulders. I felt so bad as I looked into her eyes when they asked if she was ready. I could feel her body was having another contraction. The doctors didn't stop they said they were going to keep coming. So my forehead against hers. My hands on her shoulders. Tears in our eyes. I told her how much I loved her. I told her how strong she was and how proud I was of her. I told her that it was going to be okay. All I could do was just give her all my love. Once they finished and it started to kick in my love fell asleep finally. The had to put another type of oxygen on her because her blood pressure kept dropping. She was finally sleeping and still having contractions. I dosed off for an hour and woke to my love sitting up and not in pain. I felt like I was dreaming and I went up to her and asked if she was okay. She said yes and was so adorable on her epidural. She doesn't take pain killers or anything so I had never seen her loopy.

She kept asking if her feet where still there. She let me comb her hair and put it up. She let me wash her face and put chapstick on. The nurses came back in a couple time and finally it was time to push. They asked me to grab a leg and help out. I proudly did so after getting grandmas on the zoom call. Darn you Covid. We were both excited to meet our little man. My Fiancé had a huge fear about tearing. Luckily her team of nurses and doctors asked her what she was most worried about and what they could do to help. Together as a team they worked on getting the perfect pushes. My wonderwoman did so good she was even pushing more times after they said break. She never tore and she had a 45min labor.

Right before she gave the final push we had our moment. We looked at each other with tears in our eyes and smiled and both said I love you. We kissed and forgot where we were for a moment. All eyes on us. One good push and our son was born. 6lbs 1 ounce 19inches long healthy boy. They put him on his momma right away. He was covered in what looked like cheese. His eyes were open and he was making noises and reaching around. I asked the doctor if she hemorrhaged or anything. They confirmed she was fine. The room was lit up with energy the nurses were happy. We were crying laughing. It was a beautiful moment.
