Behind the Masks

We all know one person who fakes their way through life. We can't trust that person as they are not being themselves and we are afraid to share any right information, our problems or good news to them.

Fake people wear masks. Behind the mask they wear, they are ready to take a toll on us by pretending to care or please us for their needs.

They are annoying and a waste of time. If you suspect a person who is fake, it's better to ignore and move on rather than filling our minds with negativity.

Here are some of the characteristics of a Fake person:

1) They make plans they don't keep. They make commitments but never intend to keep.

2) They are only around you when it's convenient for them.

3) They disappear when you need them most.

4) They don't listen when you talk.

5) They pretend not to be upset about things.

6) They are never around or available as they don't want to be friends and give you an excuse every time.

7) They talk about you behind your back. The problem is we can't really know anyone unless they allow us to see. We think all people are genuine though sometimes we are wrong.

8) They are extreme - hot & cold without warning. They will be nice at one time and without any reason, they change into being bitter and mean. While we are having a conversation with them, the person might start to crack after a while and show their true colors.

9) They neglect to initiate a conversation with you but hang out with other people.

10) They pretend to try to please everyone and can't stand rejection.

11) They only pay attention to those in positions of power which is the easiest route to the top.

12) They work overtime to build or find relationships. They have a hard time making friends and keeping them.

13) They seek attention to validate themselves. Your approval matters to them when you agree to whatever they say but when you start to disagree, they turn you upside down.

14) They distract from their fakeness with Gossip. They keep talking about other people and not a good conversation.

15) They like to show off in front of other people.

16) They say bad things to other people.

How to deal with Fake Person:

1. Distance is the Key. As they bring negativity/ bad vibes, it's better not to pay attention and keep them out.
2. Limit your engagement. Don't ask questions/ engage with them.
3. Remember, it is not about you. Their talks are nothing to do with you and everything to do with them.
4. Keep it above board. Whatever you do, don't stoop to their level.
5. Point it out. Fake people are liars. Don't appreciate or tolerate their misrepresentation.
6. Dig deeper. Finding out from them why they act that way to you and sorting it out.
7. Ask for advice. If you are unable to handle them, ask whoever is important or close to you for professional advice on how to deal with them.

Fake Persons are Toxic and Dangerous. They consume a lot of energy and time from us. Sometimes they are hurtful.

In Short, Fake persons are those who lead people on, cancel plans, talk behind our back, act as if they never get mad and disappear when you need them.

Conclusion:

You are responsible for how you react just as much as they need to be responsible for how they act. When you get frustrated, always remember those are your thoughts about that person, not yours. Just ignore them, don't engage and always be with the person who values you.
