Adorable Love

I am Mohan, a jolly guy, quite famous in my friend's group, always surrounded by friends. One day in the office, Divya my friend approach me for a favor, “By mistake, I bought both of my house keys, and my friend was locked in the house. She has an interview to attend and can you please go and hand over the keys to her please?” As I have a bike I couldn’t say no and got ready to go.

After reaching her house, her friend came towards the window; she was so pretty that 1st look stole my breath for a second. I always used to tease my friends who used to say “Love at first sight” but that day I experienced it. I struggled to talk to her for a while and left after the quick introduction.

Her name is Srusti. It’s been a few weeks I could not able to forget that look, that moment kept revolving around my head all the time. One Friday Divya invites me for a dinner party, Srusti cracked the job and planned to celebrate with close friends. I am so excited to meet Srusti, Immediately controlled my emotions and said I have some plans but let me check and confirm with you by the evening.

I left the office early that day to get ready. With all excitement, I reach the hotel. Srusti is in a very pretty dress that killed me again. This time I tried to impress her as a cool dude. In the middle of the conversation, I figured out that her brother is a police inspector and her father is Judge. My brain immediately warned me to be careful. We enjoy the party and get back home. The whole night I could not sleep.

A few months passed, and we used to occasionally plan weekend outings and road trips with the same group so that I can spend more time with Srusti and get to know her better. It took me almost a year to express my love. Later I got to know that even she likes to spend time with me. It was such a relief that the proposal was accepted without any complications. We dated for around 2 years.

I was born and bought up in Mumbai but for Srusti it’s a new city, I used to take her to beautiful places. She loves beaches so we spend a lot of time on different beaches. Those years were so exciting and we created a lot of good memories together.

As time passed our relationship becomes mature enough. We decided to take it forward with our family. We were expecting that convincing our parents would not be so easy. I initiated the discussion in my house; My only worry was that our caste difference might create some trouble. But being in the metro city does not impact my parents much. Even if they were not very happy about the proposal did not oppose it too.

It was a great relief for both of us that now we have one side of the support. I invited Srusti to my home and introduced my parents, My mom was impressed by her behavior and my dad always wanted a daughter he got the confidence that she can fill the gap in the family. Occasionally we kept meeting for lunch and dinner outings.

On the other side, Srusti planned to go home and talk with her parents. We were expecting it will not be that easy to convince her family as they are very particular about the caste and other things. She planned it well and calmly put the matter forward. As expected all the family drama started. That was the tough phase for both of us. After all promises and many conditions, they finally allowed her to come back. I am pretty sure they kept an eye on me.

We limited our visits for a few months after that so that they can believe her. One day Srusti was admitted to the hospital due to heavy stomach pain, I was looking after her till her parents arrived. After a lot of diagnoses, it turns out to be a tumor in the uterus. The doctor says an immediate operation is needed. After the operation doctor announced that she may not be able to conceive in the future.

It was such shocking news for both of us as well to my family. I do not want to call out our relationship for this reason I love her most. It was such a traumatic situation for Srusti. It took some time for us to digest the truth. As time passed we accepted the reality.

My father called me one day and said I can understand what is going on in your mind, but rethink the situation before coming to any conclusion. Now it may look like not a big deal, but as you grow old you start to feel the void as no family is perfect without kids. Take a call considering how strong you are to face all the social pressure. This conversation gave me much-needed strength at that moment.

After a year the incident also we take the decision to get married, though her parents did not agree this time they did not oppose much. With my parents' support, we had a registered marriage. We were very happy living, as time passed sruti became favorite daughter in law of the family.

After 2 years we got surprising news, Doctor considers it a miracle that Srusti is 2 months pregnant. But warns us about the complications around it and advised us to be very careful. That day I remember our conversation with my dad saying “If you have faith in your love even god will support you with miracles”. We were blessed with such a gift, there is no word to explain our happiness.

After this news, Srusti’s mom comes to visit her. Much needed support for Srusti at that moment. Definitely, it was a tough journey for all of us with many complications lot of days went in hospitalization; My little angel came into our world. She was kept in special care as soon as she was born. 1st the time when I saw her she was a very tiny size as big as my palm. Her little eyes were making me realize God's gift to our pure love. After spending 2 months in hospital we took our little angel home. My family is complete with happiness as we bought my little angel.
