So I have been going through mythological stories. I listened this story from my Grandmother. she used to tell me daily one story Every night.

So let's get started. . Without any delay. so it's The Story of Shukadev and King Janak.

Sage Vyasa was keen to teach his son Shukadev about many Ethics, spiritual values, so once he told his son Shukadev,

“My son, you should go meet King Janaka, he is an ocean of wisdom, it will help you. ”

(king Janaka has ultimate treasure of knowledge but he shares it to only

selected people upon taking many tests)

Infront of knowledge no recommendations worked in those days. they have to pass test.

Though Shukadev was keen to learn from him, he was doubtful of the knowledge of King Janak. He reached the Palace where he was welcomed by the King and Shukadev said: “My father sent me to you, to learn higher spiritual knowledge, Please take me as your student.

I must ask you, I don’t understand. How can a palace dwelling king who indulges in the wealth, in the company of women can be such a highly recommended Yogi?'” and he asked few more questions.

Janak answered, “We will talk about that later, if you want to be my student, you have to pass a test.

Take this cup of oil and keep it on your head. Go around the palace and keenly observe every room ,ni corner should be left. I need every detail from you, but remember you shouldn’t spill even a drop of this oil if you want to be my student. ”

Shukadev thought for a while and accepted to that test. He asked King Janaka many questions to confirm if he had indeed completed his task without fail. and after moving through every corner Shukadev met King Janaka.

king janaka asked no . of questions to Shukadev ,he answered every question in a good way.

King Janaka got impressed by Shukadev and asked him how he managed to do that? Shukadev replied__

“I observed every room, but my focus was always on the cup,”. To this King Janak answered the query of Shuka, “Same way, though I live in this world performing my duties as a king, husband, father, I always keep my focus on God and Karma. ”

As your concentration was on both  similarly I am Sharing and gaining  knowledge despite of doing all my duties as king . so shuka was satisfied with the way king made him analyse things.

King accepted Shuka as his student and shared his knowledge.

Moral: Live a worldly life but never forget your spiritual path.

We may be superior yet we should bound to some ethics.

We should able to manage our desires and responsibilities.
