And that was a call from India... That was my friend who was from my secondary school! Yes, we are in touch though not so often but whenever we speak, we pick it right from where we left... I love talking to her. Not sure if she knows; but I feel quite elated...strong from within as if I got my wings ready to fly!... still remember the day I met that tomboyish with a lovely heart...not with her styling but the way she used to speak... LOL.
We were in a boarding school for our secondary education... away from home at that young age, we both used to miss our parents obviously and there was a special connection with each other... The most common were those late-night chats with never-ending lectures on life, philosophical thoughts and what not... She found me the prettiest among the lot and I loved the way she was, an absolute diamond hearted!... Those days we used to write letters to our parents, yes in that inland letter... where all we had to write was in that sheet of paper with a limit in size and thus words! The cheapest way of communication and was trustworthy then. I don't think in this digitized world, it's used anymore...these have become museum pieces now... smiling!!
After we left the boarding, we weren't really connected... just that we knew who's doing what and whereabouts...
Reunified after we graduated, landed onto jobs; yes those jobs which seemed 'dream job'...LOL! Nothing had changed much, we picked our conversations exactly from there, where we had left then! That connection still persists and our topics have changed, more refined..more sensible and deeper... I can simply close my eyes and count on her; that's her !!
UHmm... so it was a nice day in all! I hope you all are doing well and are healthy!
Speak to you soon... XXXX
