Your World, My World
Your World, My World
I sit and watch you as you look back at me,
Through the haze of my cigarette smoke
You seem to mock me.
I feel sorry for you, for you are most used.
Some swear by you, some kiss you.
Some hug you but they all love you.
you unlock their minds their deep secrets,
High spirited in your presence they laugh
Cry, scream, once you enter into their lives.
You have seen it all to last a lifetime;
Witnessed many deals, conspiracies deaths
You are their friends when they are sad,
You are their friend when they succeed
You they turn to whatever the occassion.
Your presence makes poets out of men,
You are their affection, their addiction.
You are the golden brew;
Men like to love, like to befriend.
Lovers swear by you, losers swear by you,
Winners swear by you, everyone loves you.
You are a real friend in need.
You are the magic brew the essence of life
Without you, they would be at a loss.
Their lives would come to a pause.
Your absence in their life
Would cause much strife
And their lives would go for a toss.
