Sparrow s nest
Sparrow s nest
A Robin built a nest in my home
It just sits there and moves its head
Watchful perhaps it is time of its hatching
Early mornings it flies away
To meet its mate
But by evening it's back in its nest
I wonder a bird so tiny has
Homing instincts
Builds a nest strong in foundation
Nature has many wonders
Robin I ask in awe where did you learn
To build a nest that is an marvel
Your patience in collection of
Twigs
The miracle begins as the eggs hatch
Your nestlings endless babble
of noise
the nest is the home a sanctuary for your
Young ones who will take flight one day
To repeat what you have taught them
Fo me as a poet the message was clear anything is possible
It took a Robin the lowest species on evolution
To teach me this profound lesson
