You Broke Your Promise

You introduced love in my life, 

It was love at first sight for us,

I still remember your sweet proposal

That literally swept my heart away. 

Life seemed nothing less than a fairy tale.

Everything was going so perfect, and beautiful 

Our marriage was the start of our beautiful journey together, 

And down the path life gifted us with two beautiful gifts that made our life just perfect and blessed.

Everything was going so fine, until the time you allowed something that shattered our sweet family.

I did warn you to get rid of smoking, the first time I saw with it

And you promised me, to take care of it, it's just one shot, nothing more that I should be worried about.

I saw that look and was sure, this was not just about a single shot,

But it was the entrance of a storm in our life that's would destroy what we had.

You told me there is nothing I should be worried

You are our rock, shall always be there for us.

And slowly things started getting drifting away

And even before we realised we all started growing apart.

Love seemed to be disappearing from our life,

But you were too busy in your own smoking world to notice what was happening around you. 

Everything went for a toss, our life shattered into pieces

Your smoking was no less than a poison that killed everything we had.

Even the love we had was not enough for you to quit on this

No matter, how it was destroying everything we had.

You got so engrossed in your own world that you didn't realise.

We were no longer part of your world.

We struggled with your absence in our world, but you still didn't realise how far away you had gone. 

You destroyed everything beautiful we had.

You broke your Promise 

And tear our family apart.

And now with you gone from our lives forever,
