Writer's Benediction

Words with some writers, is a child's play

Long time to come in memory they do stay.

When you read them, transports one back in the past.

The characters etched in memory, the way they are cast.

An emotional roller coaster ride, like a violent tide

Humbling in the process ebbs does your pride 

Do the writers get born with an innate facility 

Or can it be nurtured in the garden of creativity.

Like a blacksmith honing the iron, word smith on a marathon run

Words come to life, while ruminating on them pushes away all strife.

I continue with my reading hoping that words in me sustain their breeding.

 With a melted heart, eyes full of tears, I yearn for one percent benediction.
