Word Flow
Word Flow
An evening sky, set with the setting sun,
we sat on the bench, talking and having fun
As the time passed by, the birds stopped chirping hard,
and darkness set all over, with a sky unstarred
Suddenly, a word started, without a hint
And rebukes flared, shining with a glint
She hurt me, I hurt her
And that was the last time we both spent time together
Now I cry, shed some tears,
I wish she could hear my apologies and prayers,
I regretted, and knew that she too did,
But neither had the courage to clear the chagrin that hid
The word flow that formed the friendship, today broke it,
and I knew, I had to employ it again, to destroy the rage and spite
So I gathered courage, and made that one call,
And now we are friends again - till the time will fall!
