Male chauvinism isn't a reality 

Permeating the whole universe. 

His dominion encroaches 

Only where it is entertained. 

It's you who perpetuate this evil; 

It's you who can uproot the same. 

  

It's you who rank and make her inferior 

And unequal before his disdainful look. 

It's you who make her feeble 

And voiceless before his aggression. 

Her courage and tolerance 

Shouldn't be surrendered at his feet. 

  

Children echo their parents' voices. 

It's you who let customs continue. 

Mothers, stop counseling your daughters 

To put up with his intolerable indignities. 

Stop training her to submit meekly 

To his crazy whims and fancies. 

  

She is a fragile earthen treasure-chest 

Concealing unimaginable strength. 

If failed to handle thoughtfully, 

She will be irrecoverably shattered. 

And if she is patiently exhumed, 

He shall own a priceless art. 

  

Dream what you can actualize 

Despite his overriding restraints 

And your self-made inhibitions. 

Fight for what you rightly deserve, 

Or walk out with audacity from bonds 

That regard you as a mere commodity. 

  

Her self-esteem is not to be forfeited 

For his entertainment and dreams. 

Her life, too, is precious, just like his. 

It is a matter of being a little braver 

Not to follow the age-old customs 

And blind rituals that blemish humanity. 

  

Why let yourself be moppets 

For his irrational inclinations? 

Why end your lives and dreams 

For the sake of his insolence? 

Never be a coward, for you have in you 

The seed of future humanity.
