Wish
Wish
As she saw a falling star
She asked, "Let's make a wish"
He was reluctant as he said,
I don't believe in all this.
Standing inside a temple,
She said, "Atleast fold your hands"
These statues don't talk
And have no power, he said.
She knew he was an agnostic
As falling stars didn't excite him.
She knew he was an atheist
As he had no belief in supreme power.
But, deep inside his heart
Love was getting nurtured.
His whole world was in Her
Be it a star or the Almighty.
So, standing behind her,
He closed his eyes seeing the star.
Without being noticed,
He even folded his hands.
Just to make a wish
A wish to see her smiling everyday.
A wish to hold her hands
And walk for the whole life.
His only wish,
To start the journey along with her
And close these eyes together.
