Will I be Different?

Seated on throne, Pilot proclaimed,

Who is this Man, and what is the Truth?

Herod and Caiaphas and a bunch of others

Caused an unjust death to the Lord!

Judas betrayed and Peter denied,

Thomas and friends fled away far,

Would I be braver, if I was there,

And stayed with my Lord who soon w’d be dead?

Priests plotted, and Herod disparaged...

Pilate condemned Him to hang on the Cross…

In their place what would I’ve done

Would I have thought this was for me?

Jesus absolved the sins of them all,

The thief, the soldiers, who caused Him much pain,

Yet, His love for them not faded away,

And in turn His love won them all back!

Mary baffled Him and Thomas doubtful,

Paul dragged them those who followed His Ways,

Put them in jails and persecuted,

Could I succeed where such of them failed?

Trials are on, when life is at risk,

The nations fall off, calamities knock,

When the passion is on, and Jesus suffers,

Will still I stride on Jesus’ path?

What can we learn from His passion?

What should we learn from this Easter event?

How should we feel a deep Easter joy?

And share our Hope and Peace with us all?

Two thousand Easters marked up to now,

This is our flash in history’s track,

Jesus our Saviour is calling onward,

Through Him and only through Him, we win.
