Why Did They..?

I walk down the hallways

Trying to remember everything they did

Trying to recollect memories from the day

The day it happened,

Why did they do it to a kid?

They say it’s a school,

As pure as nothing could be

They do things they say are COOL!

Bullying the weaker ones?

Shame on everyone who didn’t save him,

And of course shame on me.

They ripped the child of his childhood,

Made his life as hard as it could get

I wanted to help, in any way I could

Coward Me, couldn’t stand against them

They would do the same to me, I bet.

The torture, the cries, the screams,

Heard nobody but the walls

Walls of his own isolated dreams

The cage he had prepared for himself,

Not actual but only the school hall!

Today he stands alone and scared

Clinging to his life,

The people around don’t even care,

No one seems to be bothered,

About the bullies slicing his throat with a knife.
