Whisper

I hear whispers

In the ruins of civilization,

In the forgotten hymn,

I hear whispers

In the lost paths of travellers

In the destruction of wars

Shall I say it to you

What the whispers murmur

In the unusually somber nights?

Or shall I keep mum

And let the whisper blow away

Like an unscathed war veteran.

But you know

Those whispers never fade away,

They never leave the room.

Do you know

What happened to them?

They just got numb In darkness.

From the altar of sacrifice

I started hearing them again

Coming strong and bold

But you know this time,

I can hear them clear and

I can hear them playing and singing

Ain't you curious to know

What the whispers are singing?
