Whence Silence Rules The Roost
Whence Silence Rules The Roost
When silence rules the roost
Let it be, for rare is such an occasion.
Breath is the one I can hear pulse is the one I feel
Bubbles of thoughts leaving forth without a trace
I know not who I am, for the I has merged in this silence.
Somewhere the cry of a child,
Somewhere the ladle in tango with the pot
Know not the moments that pass by
Is this the being and cosmos united in harmony?
Who or what behind this creation I know not?
Sometimes I am will in reverse that create the words that are worth
Sometimes it is the word that leaves when the poetry sheds
At times it is the prose that blooms in its various hue
The mind is vast and Rumi
For Kabir, Bharathi and Ruskin
Confluence’ is what result
Like in the sea, all the rivers drain words in me.
