When The Rains Orchestrated
When The Rains Orchestrated
The petrichor lingered through the window ajar,
Awakening my olfactory senses and
Igniting my mind about what's in the offering.
Gloomy sky welcomed the lazy me
And embraced me in its cozy blanket.
Wow! Such a surreal feeling.
The pregnant clouds were ready to deliver
Showers of cool water to wake me up,
As I opened my dreamy eyes.
Tip-tap, tip-tap, the music played,
As the drops fell on my window glass,
And slowly but steadily, the band picked up pace.
Volume increased as minutes passed by,
The troupe played in full swing.
And like a grand finale, the thunderbolt struck hard.
The aftermath of the rock show
Was all puddles and slush,
Decorated with colourful paper boats.
It was a day to relax and unwind,
As I enjoyed the music with some warm tea,
And memories of a childhood during the monsoon.
