Tragedy Others

When is 'after corona' coming?

When is 'after corona' coming?

"After fall," mama says,

Ever since I've been counting days.

Masks and sanitizers grilled deep into my brains,

School proms and cousin nights all stowed in drains.

Professors boxed up in a screen,

And we kids trying our best to look keen.

Fall gone long; mama's promise forgotten along.

"After winter," papa says,

Ever since I've been waiting for the sunshine rays.

Betoken of the citizen's death,

Brewed a growing fear in our claustrophobic breath.

Calling our abode; the sanctuary realm,

Let's all strive to swipe the corona's heartless beam.

Adieu to the winter;

And the broken word of a helpless sire.

"After summer" WHO vows,

Unless the needles scare you off.

I say the vaccines are the killer for sure,

And they chant "After summer the wondrous cure"
